Hi Chris, Thanks for a very straightforward demonstration. Am installing a similar unit on a stainless steel sink. How is the optional white plastic part fitted? It obviously plays some part in stabilising the unit in the thin metal, but was not mentioned in the instructions.
We dont have a pull out hose like that, but my partner keeps on behaving as if we do. We have a tall simple flick mixer tap in the kitchen that only swivels between two sinks. And he grabs the spout very hard and violently shakes it all about in a jiggling motion to sprinkle water over cooked pasta. In the past a total of seven spouts have just snapped clean off from the sink by this repeated hard and brutal treatment. Anyone else ever heard of someone insisting on doing that to their tap, when the tap was not designed that way. He did say he believed it was normal to do that because it is a swivel tap. It only swivels between two sinks and nothing more.
Hi, i have samilar tap with black lock nut but no spacer was provided. Have hand tightened but there is still slightest movment at the base, will this be ok or do i need to get spacer and/or use wrench to further tighten the nut?
I see in this video that both washers go under the bench and the mixer just sits straight on top of the bench with no washer - is that correct? Could the mixer possiblt damage the top of the bench?
Hi Nick, There is an inbuilt o-ring installed where the mixer sits on the bench top. There is a metal and rubber washer that is installed from below. I hope that answers your question. Regards, Christopher
Hi, I have a question . If someone could help me. I have a quarts work top fitted two weeks ago, and the tap hole is very close to the sink .What can we do to fix the tap? We bought a clearwater tap with the big bulky fittings. Please could somebody help?🥺🥹🥹
