Amazing explanation. In particular quick select. I had watched many TH-cam videos on it but yours is the only one I was able to thoroughly understand. Thanks for the video and your hard work, I will definitely check out the rest of your channel; seems like a goldmine for interview prep.
@@AlgorithmswithAttitude That's good enough for me! It's been a week and I still remember quick select from just having watched this video once, so evidently it works =)
I have disliked multiple videos on these topics before coming to this one. The only one that makes so much sense... I just wish you covered more algorithms but I will be referring to your videos as a priority from here on out Thank you!
Excellent video and I definitely get why it has "attitude" in the name. The emotional tone of voice with non-monotone inflection makes it far easier for me to pay attention, as well as making it easier to understand the context and meaning of what is being said. Tone of voice is a whole dimension to language that is way underutilized in instructive videos.
I see many diff implementations but never really understood why the specific changes. This video really helped me in understanding the quick select and different implementations of quicksort.
Oh, you are back! Missed your videos, just participated this month in a state-wide CP competition for highschoolers, and ranked 29th. (The last round was a massacre, I could only solve 1 out of 7 problems, and that was an average score...) Your videos helped me understanding many topics that I found difficult before, thank you!
@@AlgorithmswithAttitude Thank you! I'll now but CS aside a bit, as I've decided to get a degree in EE FIRST, and go back to CS afterwards, but I know I'll not be able to ignore it.
@@AlgorithmswithAttitude pleade help with this, Describe precisely the pivot step of QuickSort, using the median-of-three method for pivot selection, and show every stage of the rst pivot step applied to the array with the following entries: 3; 4; 7; 1; 2; 6; 5
Best quick sort video, however, it mentions the sedgewick's quick sort thesis that is written on a typewriter as "not wort it" :( whose page number is over 300!!!
Wait, did I say it wasn't worth it. I don't think I did. I didn't read it, so that doesn't seem like something I would say. But I do feel like you can get a pretty good understanding of quicksort in under 300 pages.

Literally the one and only video one needs to understand quick sort
Your videos are fantastic. It's so nice to see someone so passionate about teaching others. Your energy feels genuine.
I fake it well.

This is the best short video I have watched on QuickSort, and I have watched many.
Excellent explanation with a lots of crucial details that are usually glossed over..
This is the best explanation for quick sort and quick select. Especially appreciate for the pseudo codes.

This is the clearest explanation of Lomuto's partitioning I've seen. Thank you very much!
Finally, you are back! I missed your videos so much. I hope you feel good with this whole thing with coronavirus going around.
I thought I would try to get a few out as soon as possible, with do many students at home...
@@AlgorithmswithAttitude Go ahead man, shoot more! After watching watching your videos I realised, that I am not a freaking moron :)
The only video on this on the internet, that makes sense.

The proper phrasing is "I only missed 6 in the last round."
Congratulations.

This is something that helped me to understand the quicksort and QuickSelect Algorithm ....
Thank you for combining the quick sort and quick selection!
Great channel! Very engaging and clear! Better than my coursera courses
The animation is absolutely beauuuutiful!
The views are less but the video is really good. Keep making these videos.
Finally understood QuickSelect! Thanks!
Super comprehensive, thus may require some time to digest. Thanks a lot.
I make them much more dense than I would for a live talk, as you have the option to pause, play them slower, rewind, etc.
Welcome back! I have waited for your videos :) It seems that you have a lot of new hair :O
It's all combed over from my back.

I miss this class
I hope you are well. Stay healthy.
By far the explanation fro Quick sort ;)
Great animations, love it!
