It's about getting sucked into toxic online ideologies. Lies live in the dark (the sun is your enemy today), and truth lives in the light. "Swimming with the fishes 'til they drown" refers to sticking with the toxic ideologies until they get rotten, and take you down with it. The fish aren't the ones that are going to drown.
Nice reaction. They are not revolutionaries despite lines like ‘Kill the system, kill the man…’ but an ongoing theme since their earliest compositions was think for yourself, don’t believe everything you hear. They’ve always had a keen sense of the pitfalls of the modern world. Their lyrics are always meaningful yet leave room for people to draw their own interpretations. That doesn’t even take into account their musicianship and phenomenal songwriting. Their superpower is live performances. Anything from this concert is golden. Thanks.

So Disciple is about social media and how opinions are bought on social media and are fed to us in a way that we don't even know. And how by breeding ignorance and cultivating hate people gain a lot of power and money. So that's what Disciple is about. I saw a lot of people confused with the video, like “why are you the system and you're telling people to kill the system?”, well we're not the system, we (the military characters in the music video) are Someone who is buying your opinion without you even knowing about it. So Disciple was a whole process to write about, but I'm so happy with the song and it's a topic I'm really passionate about, so go stream Disciple, go check it out, the video was so much fun to record and it's a good song, it's so much fun to play, I find it really funny that I'm saying that it's a good song, it's my song, but it was really one of my favorite songs to write, I put a lot of thought into it and Daniella and I worked relentlessly to get everything across, so glad people are enjoying it.

As you'll discover, TW are great songwriters. Pau (drummer) starts the concept of the song on the piano, then the band rockifies it. They have great hooks, and the harmonies are stellar.
Any song from tis concert is a must listen. One of the greatest concerts on YT. I would recommend the songs Z, Choke, Survive or you may want to see the drummer take lead with the song 23 or Dust to Dust. Will be looking forward to your next video from the band.
This song is about how social media controls us with fabricated info. Pau, the drummer, got inspired about the main riff in a Canadian supermarket in 2019. She came home, composed the 1st draft on her piano including the bass intro and called her sisters. They were 19, 17 & 14 then.
That is why Dany, guitarist, starts the song as an antagonist with "The sun is YOUR enemy today" while Pau picks it up as a disciple in the 2nd verse with "The sun is MY enemy today". The sisters trade off lead vocals as demanded by the script. You can make out the difference in their vocal textures. Ale, the bassist, mainly harmonizes in the lower frequencies with infrequent falsettos as required by a song. The video editing at Teatro can create confusion as to who is singing which part of the song.
I like reactors who are interested in a what a band is saying beside their music. And in case of an intellectual band like, The Warning, how they are saying it. Pau, their main lyricist, often uses profound metaphors to deliver a message in a song. After a long time we have a band that is consistently saying something substantial in today's era of show over substance.

Kelly, thanks for your reaction and for doing some research on the lyrics. The Warning is a great name for this band, comprised of 3 sisters, who have plenty to say about today's world. I have seen them live 4 times and can't wait for their 4th album, due soon. I love every song off their first 3 albums. I am a proud patreon for The Warning and for Angelina Jordan, a self taught jazz singer, who has sung in at least 10 genres. Both The Warning and Angelina are celebrating 10 years as on-stage performers and both are incredible story tellers. Angelina just turned 18, and won Norway's Got Talent at age 8. From this concert look at "Z" and "Kool aid kids". These two songs kind of go together. Not just important messages, but amazing music.

"Z" and "Amour" are among my personal favs. Dany's vocal run at the end of Amour friggin floors me repeatedly. And to think they were only 17, 20, and 22 during this show! I look forward to more The Warning reactions!

A once in a generation phenomenon. I flew down with my daughter 2 months ago from Portland Oregon and saw them in Tijuana where they started with Disciple. Ale’s bass kicked me in the chest and knocked me over, then Pau beat me over the head with her drums and then Dany finished me off by slaying me with her guitar and vocals. Once you go down The Warning rabbit hole there's no way out, like Black Holes (which is one of my favorite songs of theirs).
These young women display remarkable musical prowess, coupled with an infectious energy that captivates audiences worldwide. With their unforgettable melodies and poignant lyrics, The Warning is undoubtedly on the path to becoming a household name, if they haven't already. Here's to their continued ascent!

The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
They have recently finished recording their 4th studio album: no name or release date yet.
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs (and recently finished recording their 4th studio album). They recently performed 2 songs at the MTV VMA's.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.

I see some have already suggested XXI blood as a precursor to Disciple which is perhaps the only Warning song where I recommend the music video over a live version. But if you want to see how it all took off for them, the 2014 cover of Enter Sandman is the place to go. Three teenage girls, sorry two as the bassist was only 9(!), covering a legendary four member band better than you hold possible. Better yet, make it a double and react also to their own version they made years later with Alessia Cara for Metallica's Blacklist album!
My ecommendation to you to start 2024 as it should be started and you will be happy rest of the year. Check out this live performance Teatro Metropolitan song by song.. just start that concert and see the first song, stop after the song is over (and the intro) react and then continue 21 times more and you have the best time of your life..... and will meet us at TWA time after time. Dany (guitar) sings the part of the "leader"... Pau (drums) sings the part of a "follower" or "disciple"... basically they're speaking about how people take what they see on social media and believe it, whatever it is... in this way, certain groups out there control the narrative and what is happening... this is a cynical song telling people to think for themselves and not believe everything they see or hear...
*XXI Century Blood* , *Z* , and *Kool-Aid Kids* are three others that also speak about social media... the 1st one, XXICB, has an OMV that tells a story... it and the director were nominated for (and won?) several awards when it was released in 2017 when Dany was 17, Pau was 15, and Ale was 12 😹
