Multibrot from power from 2 to 8 at size 1E-2 - 2E-6 with distance estimation

Multibrot from power from 2 to 8 at size 1E-2 - 2E-6 with distance estimation. (Also to power -3 at bigger size). Points outside the set are coloured by usual escape time algorithm. Colour of points inside the set is determined by period detection, their brightness by distance estimation. The most interesting feature - the program automatically keeps mini-set (small cardioid at power 2) in the field of view while it moves in the complex plane.

I have made this video with exponent up to 8 first. But motion is too slow. Then I have made faster video with exponent up to 50.

Why do they always show a cross section of the multibrot at the same angle? Couldn't you plot a line through the complex plane as one axis and shift the power as another axis and shift the line or change the slope to morph the image?
