- How to Paint a Dot Mandala Clock tutorial record repurpose recycle- Video 332 - Sue Sloan
This is my first clock I ever made. It was super fun and easy to do. When installing the clock onto the record
you just have to spin the record to get it through to the other side super simple.

This is beautiful. You are a good teacher, thank you for sharing. I like how you show the paint bottle, the tool, and we can see your work in progress in full view and the color paint palette too just in case we don's have the same colors of paint, we can get very close, because of the way you display your in the tray.
Funny! I just did one of these, and UPS is delivering my clock kit today! I ordered white hands
Thank you so much for not rushing and showing the numbers and colors clearly. I just made this and it is awsome. Thanks again for the beautiful pattern
You are so welcome! I'm just thrilled you like it. :)
Is relaxing me I enjoy the smooth music and sit back I loved it mallaves well done keep up I'm glad now video come out soon next
I'm glad you like it :)
One if the prettiest I've seen...
This is absolutely gorgeous! It took me awhile to figure out what the numbers meant that you held up. But I get it now. It's the number of the dot tool!
Yes I always show the dotting tool number and paint color so you can follow along easily. If you do not own the DIY Mandala Stones dotting tools and have different I do have a chart posted of the millimeter sizes here: lovetocolor.com/pages/tools
Wow- this is beautiful and such a fabulous color palette
BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED!!!
It does have a 3D effect, so beautiful and wow so colourful. Oh to be able to design and create like you do would be wonderful. This will be a real facial and talking point where ever it is hung. I am hoping this one will be hung at home 😊
Very pretty and colorful...cool design, too.......😻
Glad you like it!
Beautifully done Sue! Hoping the seasons will bring many blessings and good memories. 👍❤
Absolutely love this pattern. You do beautiful work. This will be the next project for me. 😊
Fantastic ❤love this. Thank you Sue
They really "sad" part of this is...I have ALL the colors 🤣🤣
I ❤ this, Sue! It will go on my to do list for the new year.
That’s not sad, that’s HAPPY! 😃
Beautiful Sue! Such a unique and beautiful design. I hope to one day try a clock. Had to clear my paints and supplies of my table for the holidays. I hope to get back to dotting/painting, in January. 💕
Magnifique, j'adore, bravo 👏❤️
Love it! Thanks so much!
Big work! 👌Very beautiful
Wow, this is Fantastic. I don't know why, but this looks 3d, (or do I mean 4d,) on my old Apple screen, it's really dimensional. Beautiful. 🕰️🌈
Thank you for sharing. Take care & Happy Christmas everybody. 🎅⛄🎄
Your like me Thanksgiving is over time to think of Christmas 🎄. Merry early Xmas to you too. 😀
@@SueSloan 👍🤗⛄🎅🎄🦌
So beautiful❣️
Beautiful! I'm not at home to be able to do any painting so I am really enjoying connecting with you as I watch. Can't wait to try it! I enjoy the way you present it. You give enough time fore the camera to focus on the paint so the name can be seen clearly and not rushed. Also, if I don't have the same name, I can still see the color so I can substitute. Thank you for clearly showing the tool sizes clearly for each step. Each step is shown long enough to figure out what you are doing and not too long to drag it out. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into presenting these beautiful pieces so we all can enjoy and share with others to brighten their day.
Wow thanks so much Valerie :) Glad you like the way I do my videos. I make them how I can easily understand them and then hope others can as well.
Hi Sue, I think this is my favourite..I love the soft pleated look you’ve got with that pattern 😍
Gorgeous
I think this is my favorite album you have done so far!! I especially like that you worked your way into the middle. That you saved that for last. Genius!! Love all the colors!! Time to prep some albums 😉
Thank you so much! So glad you like it. :) I try to switch things up, if you start in different areas you can come up with some many different designs.
Well done, enjoyed this tutorial.
Fabulous idea using a record, colors are beautiful together. Looking forward in following your
Cite.
Beautiful

I love this new design Ms. Sue!! Guess what I'm doing this afternoon LOL I already have a bunch of albums prepped so now I get to do the pretty design...Darla
Have fun! :)

Amei!!!
Wow, Ms. Sue! I love it! All those colors are so beautiful and just flows together! Your design... ? What can be said? You just are talented for sure! Kinda looks 3 dimensional! Awesome, my sweet teacher! Thank you. Hope your Thanksgiving was very nice and pain free. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😊Thanks for getting back to me. I haven’t been dotting yet but I will press harder on the canvas when I can get back to dotting. About God Christmas ornaments finished. Lol
Thanksgiving was quiet but nice here. Hope your was enjoyable as well. Glad you like this design 😀
Another beautiful design. Love the colors. Did you put a sealer on this?
I haven’t sealed any of my records but some are more then a year old and still fine. I haven’t sold any either I have them or friends/family. Nothing has peeled. I’m afraid of spraying them because of the vinyl but not sure I’d like them really shiney so haven’t resin either.
Very 😍
❤️❤️❤️
Sue, I think this is the prettiest piece you’ve made to date. How long did it take you to dot the piece in real time?
Was over ten hours but that was designing it too not just dotting it. 😀
Absolutely gorgeous ! Since varnishing the whole album might be too risky, what about mixing a little varnish with each color before dotting ? Do you think it might work ? I gonna try it and will let you and all viewers know. Once again, so much talent and perfection. Bravo 👏👏👏
I know others use like a brush on varnish but I've still to try it. If you do it please post back :)
Great ita
I love this design, I have done a couple of your other patterns and made them into clocks. I think the brass washer and nut would usually go on the front to hold it firm though. It seems to stop the mechanism moving around.
I followed the directions that came with it but what you say makes sense. It’s not coming off regardless the hole is tight and you have to screw it on.
@@SueSloan 👍👍my instructions said put it on the front but I also had problems with the back loosening off a little and moving when I tried to fit a new battery so I ended up using a glue gun so it doesn't go anywhere now😂😂 I will be trying this design soon, thank you for all your videos I enjoy them all
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
U know what....they would make great chargers ....u know the large deco plate under the dinner plate
This is simply gorgeous and I really want to try it!!
Decoart isn't quite as easy to get hold of here in England. Can I ask, some of the colours are showing as transparent, does this affect the way they lay down? Do you add any medium to your paints at all?
❤️🕓
If the colors are transparent I will just add a tiny bit of white to them. I do not add medium to the DecoArt paints. But thicker body paints I do add a fluid medium. But for transparency just add a tiny bit of white paint.
I made this today- waiting on clock stuff from Amazon, it turned out sooo pretty! My first clock also. Did you spray your album with anything after you finished dotting?
I didn't. I haven't sealed any of the albums I've done but they have been fine nothing peeling or anything. I need to experiment on one that hasn't been dotted for hours lol. I hate to try something and have it ruin it. But so far leaving them unsealed has been fine. Congrats on your first clock, they are fun. :) I've made two now lol.
aa
What do the numbers mean you hold up everything you take another color
