I have the same vehicle that I have had for almost 12 years now. I got the DDM charge tubes about a year an a half ago. All the pitfalls of what you filmed are definitely REAL ... on the install. I did not, however, change the air box. This is an EXCELLENT VIDEO and had I watched it BEFORE I did my install ... I'd have had less trouble. I have the GMPP upgrade in turbo chips that were never installed properly by GM. I researched etc ... and finally found the "fix" to it, from the Solstice Forum in Canada (online). I lost my intercooler a year ago (ruptured). So when i had that replaced and the new charge tubes already installed, the Sol idled considerably smoother and the shifting improved dramatically. (automatic trans). I then had GM "tune" the ECM to everything that was new and the car performs brilliantly. Again, this is a tremendous video for those looking to get rid of the original BENT / CRUSHED / DENTED GM tubes that alter the air flow (badly) to the turbo. The car idles very smoothly now and drives smoother was well. If you PUNCH it ~ the gears change beautifully as they shift up to higher ratios. The GMPP chips that used to be available may still be available but need to be tuned to your vehicle's ECM. Thanks for the most EXCELLENT video. Great video, where I have issue is companies that market intakes as “ cold air “ which is misleading because true cold air intakes require the air filter to be front of the vehicle away form the engine bay where it will suck in hot air from the engine off gases. Which this one does. It’s more of a “ mid Ram intake “ And not a cold air intake. But regardless this is a great video. Thanks for posting it 👌🏽🤙🏽

I didnt need the tune because I bought it when I did my Exhaust. DDM usually has good sales around Black Friday or Christmas if you wanted a chance to save some money :)
Once you install the bolt ons i think you have to tune it for each upgrade how do you tune it to benefit from these bolt ons ? Does the CAI actually make a difference in hp and what about the heat generated from the CAI ?
for tuning I'm using trifecta tuning, they have been great. CAI didn't do much for power but you do hear the intake noise more and i feel the blow off is louder too from what i remember :)

Thanks!! This is what Trifecta told me after I did my exhaust and high flow cat and then tuned the car, "The LNF roadsters like the GXP and Sky Redline make about 320HP and 340TQ at the crank. What it puts down to the wheels is really going to depend on how healthy the transmission and other drivetrain components are." They said the charge tubes wouldnt make much difference I sent them a data log and said it was where it needed to be so we didnt retune. I really like it :)

I like the red. I just did this same thing about a week ago. All white. Imo its easier to do with the hood off. Only 4 bolts but good video.

Hey bro, is the air line from the engine to the cold air intake supposed to stay loose ?
it connects but dosnt click in like the stock one did. Mine has never fallen off though

With a tune it’s up to 300 whp 340 tq. You can add a high flow cat for more
