Intel is a huge puzzle and any way out of the current situation will be tricky for many of the reasons you listed (anti trust, national security interests, product roadmap, foundry performance, and a lot more). Personally I think letting Pat go was a big mistake - this was never going to be a quick and easy turnaround and he was on the right track. All these other options being floated only creates more issues both for the company, the acquirer, and the semiconductor industry and it's importance as a whole.

Wouldn't surprise me if Elon did want to buy. Would fit his vertical integration preference and help Tesla, space and neuralink etc but I wouldn't but on speculation... If true the stock price would jump significantly because it is Elon regardless of intrinsic value....! I do hold now because I believe the valuation is reasonable plus I think Intel is too important to the US to fail and will be given support where needed.. Just my thoughts. Not adding anymore at this point as they have lots to do to turnaround......
What we know is the evidence so far is only one two month old email. Wouldve thought there would've been more leaks since then, if things were progressing. Maybe though had to wait for the change of administration.

Broadcom is the most likely buyer again. As we know it was blocked before during last Trump Administration because headquarter was offshore (Singapore), but recently Broadcom made the change to California (Irvine - San Jose to now moving to VMWare headquarter in Palo Alto. I think Broadcom is a very likely candidate and Hock Tan is one of those people can make that happen. I have no information whether they are actually trying to acquire or not.
This has been how they've grown. I think they're well over 30 different companies they've acquired but this would be the largest yet. They are trading at near all time highs so using stock value will make it a bit less painful
Broadcom will not buy Intel. BRCM focusses on short lifecycle products which can make money quickly, not long lifecycle products with lots of investment like Intel products
If Intel is looking for new owners, then the company is on the verge for bankruptcy. I sold my shares last year when I got to know that bookkeeping has done some shady things. Billions are missing, but nobody talks about that.
@@kawinp2530 some people don’t understand common sense. I think an arrange tang would get it. Fabs cost 10’s of billions upfront, well not all, but the ones intel is building do, second, profits come over the course of decades, not years. This is a century long investment.
@bradywells5862 Yes some people don’t understand that you can’t buy something and hope for the best. It takes expertise and nobody has them, especially when the competitor is already operating a fab in the US and capturing 99 percent marketshare.

Ownership Restrictions: If Intel decides to spin off its foundry division: It must retain at least 50.1% of the rights if the division remains private. In case of an initial public offering, no third party can own more than 35% of the new entity. I agree that these rumors may provide an exit opportunity.

Honestly I had no idea until your video that there was a buyout rumor, I have about a 10% position in INTC as of now. Started building at 20, and filled it out at about 18.9 I am on the same page as you, if we get a company name and dollar number I will sell when it approaches that 99%. The only possible exception to me selling all of it is if the company purchasing it is one that I am likely to want a large position in. I think it only makes sense of it's a company that doesn't comete with it's customers. Musk makes the most sense.

The odds of you losing money on Intel is very low if you hold onto it for awhile.
