arvindtrigunayat congratulations!
You're without a doubt one of the best and most generous artist in youtube! Thank you and keep up the good work !
You're one of the few genuine artists who really teach in-depth and step by step with explanations that answers why all the whys and hows. Thank you so much, you're great!!!
I'm glad I found your channel. You are good with pencil, brush and paint. Good teaching style too. A pleasure to watch you work.
I m from. India I watch all your videos
Very kind of you for giving such in depth tutorial.
I am a Patreon member and I think this is one of my favorite watercolor instruction videos that you have made! You did such an excellent job of explaining how to manage colors. I think something I would appreciate in one of your upcoming videos would be how to control your water. How important is it to keep my water clean? How often to dip in the water? Basically, how to manage the water. Because your water bucket is off screen, It’s hard to know exactly what you’re doing so maybe just explain that part a little more while filming the video. Thanks so much for your videos. I love them!
Bart, very good suggestions, I definitely will include some detailed explanation in my next watercolor lesson. Thanks.
Is a patreon member the same as if I join the enjoying art membership? Or different?
Tammy Driedger, the EnjoyingArt.com has more benefits and easier to use.
@@YongChen awesome! Definately will join. Love your teaching style.
You are a wonderful teacher and a fantastic artist. Thank you!
Very practical lesson. I like the suggestion of having this very simple basic palet of those three primary collrs plus the "special case purple" blue.
I have been concentrating on value, not color, so have been using mediums like charcoal and graphit mostly. But I am starting to long for more color in my work....
I have a really cheap watercolor pallet I got from school and I was finally able to make a skin tone color because of this!! I’m so grateful!!❤️❤️
Love seeing skin tone work you explained it perfectly
Dope content. Can't wait to see more
This was great. I loved learning how to mix my own skin tones.
Love this step by step video, very easy to follow.thanks a lot.
You are an awesome artist and a great teacher.
Really cool art creation !
Really great explanation of how to use color. Thanks.
You are amazing!!! I’m learning so much from you, thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you for this video. It helped me a lot to learn about adjusting colors. I also appreciate the simplicity of your color pallet.
This video came in the right time thank you
Hello Mr. Chen. This video is by far the best explanation of use of primary (water) colors, and the subtle changes in-between. Love it! Much Joy looking at your videos. Thank you for sharing :)
You are phenomenal! Thank you!
This is excellent, thank you so much for this 😊👍🏻
Amazing!
Best teacher

You are the best 💜 Always be a subscribed friend, good luck 💜💜💜
Wow galing !
This is just what I've been looking for because I've always been frightened of watercolor. I draw portraits in graphite which are enjoyed by my friends and family and have been frequently asked if I can do colour ones. This will certainly help me. I wi become a patreon member as soon as my finances get better(I'm only on sick pay at the moment due to a spinal injury). Anyway you are awesome and I look forward to the challenge. Can I just add that your voice over is so calming and relaxing which helps tremendously. Keep up the fantastic work my friend
Thank you sir for your tutorial

You are the best 💜 Always be a subscribed friend, good luck 💜💜💜
Very nyc
I need you to teach me how to map the face, in other words, how do I choose color and where to apply the colors
Always creative, may I ask whether these are acrylic pigments or what؟
These are watercolors.

When I use prussian blue , for shadow on face, the face becomes greenish. It looks very odd. How to show shadow ?
Hi. I'm a student of Yong's. Hopefully this video answered that question, but if shadows are looking green, you need more red in your mix. Don't forget that Prussian blue already has yellow in it, so adding more yellow just gets you green.
Y did u skipped the latter part which is I thik more important...
But the real primary colors are Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow not Red, Yellow and Blue :/
Subtractive primary colors used in printing are cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. Other sets of primaries used by artists are the RYB system of red, yellow, blue. There are also additive primaries created by light, and they are red, green and blue.
