I remember when they used to have a dancing water fountain show every hour. It drew big crowds. With it's great location and gorgeous ocean and beach views, hopefully it will come back when the pandemic is finally over.
I remember in the day …. Shopping and eating at the pier! Omg! It was so awesome and I was able to bring my sons when they were little to watch the singing fountain! Thank you for talking about that ! It brings back lovely memories!
I loved this place. Especially when they had sand under the chairs. My favorite restaurant was continental. So awesome. It's so sad this is empty. Look at the view. U can't even go on the outside deck. My happy place is AC
Another great video. The ocean one mall in the 90s was the best. This mall version felt dark and narrow.the ocean one mall was airy and spacious. It’s embarrassing to have this open.
Watching that video and seeing what's become of the once awesome pier saddens me greatly. I used to bring my 2 boys down, stop at Its Sugar, do some shopping and Buddakan was always a favorite of my wife and I. My buddies and I would spend Superbowl Sunday in AC, eat at Phillips and then watch the game. I hope it gets resurrected in the near future. It holds a special place for me and I have a lot of good memories of that place.
I found Clarice at the 6:55 mark on the floor by those chairs near the big window. Those chairs are the only thing good about this place. It's relaxing to sit there and enjoy the ocean view when your feet are tired. This place used to be the best in the 90s when it was called Ocean One. I hope Caesars makes it fun again.

It's an absolute shame what happened to the mall. I actually remember when it was Ocean One (the original version of the mall back in the 90's). Also they told you to put away the camera because they don't want bad press, plus I think they've had some issues with people trying to check out the "closed off" areas in the back. Caesars really did kill that mall and I know the pandemic didn't help, but before that the restaurant level was awesome and they all basically closed up. It's just another part of AC that Caesars touches turns to crap (they sold off two of their own casinos and honestly Caesar's hasn't been all that great in my book in recent years. The real fun is down in the North End with Hard Rock and Ocean, Caesar's just killed that mall, literally the ONLY thing keeping that mall "alive" right now is ITSUGAR. I guarantee they ever closed up shop there they building would be shut down.

Growing up Caesars was always my families destination in AC (until we discovered TropWorld had an indoor amusement park!) and how do I miss the old Ocean One Mall. So many memories aimlessly roaming around it and playing in their giant video arcade in the back. Speaking of Caesars, I wish there was some archive footage or photos around of the old building before the remodel came. Only exist in my memories now sadly.
I haven't walked around in there in a very long time. It's a hollow shell of what it used to be. Sad to see. The airshow was cool. I was there watching it from the Hard Rock's parking garage roof 👍🏼
Miss all the shops and restaurants. Maybe Caesars could expand their casino using mall since hardly anything is left. So sad the stores are gone as well as dancing water show. Glad i got to see it years ago.
I used to work at the Claridge Hotel a few years ago, and I used to walk this mall every day, hoping it would be restored (at least the water fountain show). It got worse…
It’s a shame, such a nice space. Loved the water show. It was always nice to sit in those chairs with the sun on ur face when it was cold outside. I went out on the back deck so many times lookin for dolphins but never saw one. I wish they would light up all the casinos like Vegas.
Glad you were holding my hand Jeff. More depressing than scary though. I used to love the wonderful upscale shopping experience of the Pier. They even had an Apple store! The Pier was a nice option instead of the many junk shops along the boardwalk. And we always had to go watch the dancing waters at the end. The place still has the beautiful view and great architectural bones. If the stores don’t come back it will be a shame. Hoping and praying it will be revived soon. We haven’t been to AC since just before the sad demise of Trump Taj Mahal where we always stayed. Thanks for the tour.
The Pier has wonderful 'bones' and is a great location. It is just begging for tenants and eventually shoppers and restaurants again. The dancing fountains were a huge draw. If I have to go down there and turn on that water valve myself I will! I remember when Piazza di Giorgio cafe’ was still around. It used to be my to go place for a quick cheap meal whenever I’d be in AC. The all place was a lot more vibrant. Hopefully things will improve soon or later
I get out to AC once or twice a year and always wonder if they finally did something either this space, unfortunately doesn’t look like it. Maybe 10 years ago this was actually a pretty cool place to check out between the pier that’s on the water, the fountain, and the continental restaurant was amazing. Always stores open in it, mark goodards art store was cool to check out. I remember going there one weekend for the opening of Premeir at borgata and then went to WAV nightclub at the pier on Saturday that didn’t last. Shame, hope someone could do something either this space because it definitely has potential.

AC has been pretty busy lately. Problem is no one is working. This is why the outlets and hotel stores and restaurants are closed or open with very limited hours. Retailers will not open new stores if they can't get people to work in their established stores. The demand is there, the workers are not. Thanks for watching Rob!

Morton's steaks in Cesar's had the best happy hour food..and drinks..in all of AC. the food is excellent and not expensive. haven't been there in a couple years but hopefully still open.

I went in march this year and it was deserted certainly creepy, I walked to the fountain part and was so scared I was gonna get caught but no one seemed to care
What a shame. I remember it threw the years. I think the problem was it was never a happy medium. At one time they had like junk trinket shops. That turned people off. Then they up scale it to high end and people couldn't afford it. They need a middle ground. A toy store, food court. Arcade, dress barns , Spencer type. I think it would take off again.
Its a shame its like this now. When I went to AC a few weeks ago, I was excited to show my husband and my daughter this place because when I was there in 08 it was amazing! So disappointing!
I visited this mall t9day while in ac I talk to the owner if the sports store he says ceasers has plans for family attractions to the mall but didn't elaborate
it's a shame I loved the playground. we loved the restaurants Philips seafoods had a great surf and turf deal delicious and for only 19.99. the happy hour and friendly bartenders were great too. the other places like continental and buddahkan were beautiful places.loved the seats with sand on floor facing huge floor to ceiling windows facing the ocean. Maybe one day it will come back but it never seemed busy I think people didn't know about it.
1996, it was Ocean One, looked like an ocean liner. Had lots of stores, food court in the circular area near the back, third floor had 2 restaurants, The Black Forest I'd go yo, great view from there, and the outside deck. Looked beautiful inside and out. Now it s just a bunch of ugly billboards outside, emptiness inside. Only the chairs facing the beach the only attraction for me.
