Pointdexter (or Dex) embodies the perfect villain that any TV show could have. He is highly skilled, represents a good counterpart to the hero Matt Murdock, but the reason why I love him so much is his tragic backstory and his path throughout the season 3 of Daredevil. Wilson Bethel is outstanding in the role and I always feel a little disappointed we don't get to see what were the plans for him in season 4. He will go out as my favorite Marvel villain.

This guy is one of the most underrated characters of the MCU... And by far, one of the best
Technically not MCU but after seeing the end credit scene for Venom 2 anything is possible. We need more Poindexter!!

By technicality he's in the MCU If The Daredevil show is a part of the MCU this could be a possibility because we saw a reference to the Battle of New York and Daredevil is in the MCU seeing as which we never saw a season 4 I believe Bullseye will come back in the Daredevil show the new one

It’s crazy how much time Dex spends not even being related to Daredevil. (As in Matt). It was so clearly planned that he was going to connect deeper to Matt in season 4 and uhh I’m so let down that they canceled it

I was so mad but they can't use the storyline in the MCU cause Netflix owns it
I swear I cried so hard that moment he let out that scream. His whole world came crashing down and he felt completely alone and abandoned by those he depended on!

Fish was villain. Dex was more like antihero or lost soul. Fisk used him in the most nasty way, he broke him beyond repair. Dex was balancing on the edge of the knife and Fisk made him lost his balance. He was way far from perfect, but Matt had also episodes where he let his anger win. Dex is def not hero, but he also is not villain.
The best netflixCU Villain
Such a great character with a truly profound personality. He honestly reminds me of Francis Dolarhyde. Both were tortured and misguided by their own inner demons that represented their tragic and traumatic backstories.
Frankly speaking, i dont see him as a villain particularly yet. Hell even at the end he wanted to kill the biggest villain on the show.
Well, imo he should be considered as a definitive villain of the show, because he is the one that is in direct confrontation with Matt multiple times and who represents more than just an enemy (he is the darker part of Matt's personnality), unlike Fisk who acts in the shadows a manipulate his world. Plus he kills several innocent people along the way XD
@@MHMUniverse the problem is Dex never actually was given a chance. And at the end he truly did try to do the right thing and kill Fisk. Who knows what would've happen if he did kill fisk. Maybe he would've ended up being a good guy
@@Charl1eSheenWIN Unfortunately I don't think so. As I tried to show this in my video, he is deeply mentally injured and he struggles to find mental stability, which he (kind of) had before he crossed path with Fisk who definitely ruined his effort. If he indeed had killed Fisk, he would have find an excuse to go after Matt, and someone else after him endlessly
@@MHMUniverse I think the fact he left all of his coworkers alive shows he still has a good part left. He left all of his FBI coworkers alive. Because he knew they were innocent

Very real, cruel, dark, and somewhat emotional; it feels like I hit the jackpot watching it. This is by far the best character tribute I’ve ever seen.

Beautiful edit. It is a lesson and a warning for modern society to take note, to protect and nurture boys as they grow into manhood as much as our attention has been focused more on women’s issues as of late.

Thank you ! I liked him very much too, and all the tributes out there didn't have this particular vibe (dark and somber) I was looking for, so I decided to do it myself lol
Now I remember how great season 3 was. I am very sad it got cancelled we could have seen what happens to dex and i am sure it would have been great. Nice edit btw

Having recently finished the Daredevil series on Netflix I can't help but feel pity towards this character. Easily the season 3 best parts. At some point I was even rooting for him at the end while trying to kill Fisk.
I've always been more fascinated by these kind of characters, think Joker from Batman , Agent Ward from SHIELD series , Punisher and so on.
Characters that are insanely skilled and or smart at what they do but without proper care by the system or characters that unfortunately did not have friends and up ended into a spiraling out of control into a dark place.
PS: that transition at 2:34 is marvelous .

@@MHMUniverse I love how you juxtaposed Dex’s need for a north star within his job ,his coach, julie and his therapist . Knowing that fisk killed Julie , makes us ponder if Julie could’ve changed Dex. It also makes us realize that Fisk has vanessa and Matt has his friends as their guide. this tribute makes him more human
