The writing in the old shows was really good, and Angus Deayton was a really good host. Its gone downhill.

At about 8 minutes, Paul starts to get extremely tedious. He puts me off the show sometimes.

I wonder how that absentee father policy would have faired with Boris

I didn’t know Lord Buckethead was around that long ago! I remember him from the 2017 election, he challenged Theresa May in her own constituency and I think he nearly defeated her.

Now he goes by Count Binface after in his own words "losing a fierce battle on the planet Copyright".

@@Jack-Oates Yes I just found out he was invented by film director Tony Durham for his film Hyperspace in 1984 and was then used for real life political purposes in 1987 without the filmmakers authorisation. Eventually TD did get the rights back and that’s when Count Binface emerged

If by “nearly defeated” you mean “received 249 votes to May’s 37,718”, then sure.

Tearing up the one-eye joke card was inspired. Wonder if that was written by another writer or something Angus injected.

Angus wasn’t only better looking than both Ian and Paul, but much wittier too. Guess they got jealous😂I didn’t find the show (towards the end of Angus leaving ) funny at all, due to Paul and Ian’s constant having a go at Angus because of what he’d been accused of doing. Angus was the best host ever, and they know that! No one has come close! Their loss!

That directory enquiries joke doesn't make sense - i used to be a telephone operator and we always answered the call within 1 minute...

You're right actually, I don't remember having to wait ages for Directory Enquiries at all. I'm not being facetious, I genuinely don't, and I did use them fairly frequently. But then back in the early to mid nineties you could get through to most companies without being put on hold for twelve hours.
