- How to make a fairy house, using polymer clay (Fimo soft) and Styrofoam balls.
I recommend that you use a good quality acetone. If necessary, try it before starting working.
The styrofoam ball, should melt quickly after get in touch with acetone. Acetone should be the least possible time in contact with the Fimo to avoid damage to the workpiece.
There are different types of styrofoam
The explanation for the heat resistance is related to molecular weight.
The styrofoam balls have a higher molecular weight and are therefore more resistant to heat.
The balls I use are very common and easy to find on crafts stores. But they must be heat resistant!
They are very used on works with E.V.A and are very compact
You can make experiences before using styrofoam with fimo clay, to verify if they melt in the oven.
Be creative and prudent at the same time!!!

Strofoam balls not melting to heat is very MIND-blowing! Gotta try this sometime soon. Thanks for the tutorial!
Hi craftsydaddy! :D
As I use to say, you must be prudent! Not every styrofoam works. The balls must be heat resistant, or they will melt in the oven.
Thank you for watching!!! :D

Beijos.
I LOVE LOVED this! I have such a large supply of polymer clay, I stocked up on supplies in hopes of creating cabochons, which I've done (I used them for centre pieces and beaded around them for earrings and they were a huge hit, but I found they would often crack that resulted in less value, but my customers still loved them) unfortunately like other crafts I lost interest and now buy my cabs, sooo....now I have every colour of clay, every tool, every form down to a pasta machine, yikes!....but after watching your video I think I found my inspiration to start using my polymer clay supplies once again...yay...lol...so thank you! I hope to see tons more of your creations! ❤️

If ou try to use styrofoam with polymer clay, make sure that the balls are heat resistant and test them bofore, in the oven, to see if they don't melt ;)

Pretty cool
I am planning on making this because it is so cute! But i have a few questions. Can I use air dry clay and when I use the asitone will it effect the air dry clay?
Você falou depois de cozir... Como faço esse procedimento??? Alias lindas peças...😊
Ariana Carreiro Oi Ariana!

Thank you fairyFashionArt for all your support!:)
beautiful
So very cute
Omg that is so good I love the things you make. :)
Vincent Bakich Thank you Vincent Bakich! :))
That is very cute. How long did you bake it for? The foam balls didn't melt while baking? Did you use a full acetone or would nail polish remover with mostly acetone in it work as well? I have had a hard time finding pure acetone in my area stores.
- Heidi
Hi Heidi!:)
the cooking time is the recommended for Fimo.
my oven is large and takes a long time to heat up, so I leave the pieces for a few more minutes.
Styrofoam balls are very compact, so they just shrink a bit during cooking.
is possible that other types of polystyrene shrink much more
I used acetone to remove nail polish.
Must be a strong acetone as I say in the video description
And thank you for watching!:D
wow, it's so beautifull! When you remove white ball i was shoked! O_O
Hi summer Bani! :D
Thank you!!
Please read the video description if you are going to try this project!:)
Not every stryrofoam will work. It needs to be heat resistant!
Luv your videos!!!!!! I am using modeling chocolate. Thanxx 😁

Thank you 💜
How long do u bake..xo love this absolutely cute.
For the Acetone, Did you use nail polish remover or straight up Acetone?
so cute
Lindo trabalho. Onde acho essa massinha pra comprar?qual o nome dela.sou iniciante.obrigado
Where did you get the Styrofoam heat resistant eggs from? Thanks
how do you bake the fimo if there's foam in it?
CAN'T FIND HEAT RESISTANT OR MELTING....CAN U PLEASE PLEASE POST A LINK OR COMMENT WITH WHERE YOU GET THESE? thank you so very much! you're very talented and love watching your videos
Do you not use some type of glue to glue the pieces together?
