Railfanning at Washington D.C. Union Station 1998 - Amtrak - MARC - VRE -Metro - *No Audio*

Here is some old footage I found recently from a trip with my brother to Washington D.C. on the Northeast Corridor back in 1998. We managed to find a nice spot by the switch yard outside the station. I apologize about the footage and no audio - this was recorded when i was much younger and on a pretty terrible camera. Never the less, i thought there were some good enough shots of some classic Amtrak and other locomotives and rolling stock to warrant me posting it. Some not so common footage from that era.

This reminds me of when I was a kid and my parents would take us to see our grandparents. We'd take Amtrak and my mom and dad would take turns letting my brother and I watch the trains as we waited for ours to show up.

Agreed! When i found the tape and transferred it, I sat and watched the whole thing. It's essentially 3hrs of this lol.

This is awesome stuff! Very helpful for trying to figure out all the variations of Phase 3 and 4 on Amfleet 1s.
