As a legionary, one is brought to the reality of living in poverty, obedience and sacrifice. This reminds me of many experiences I had back when I was active in the Legion of Mary, Praesidium of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Espiritu Santo. I proudly recall the tears of joy and compassion which I have shed, as we went about doing home visitations, hospital visits, jail visits and other activities that reached out to the least of our brothers and sisters. More importantly, I treasure the ACIES in my heart because it gives the .legionary a feeling of being in one heart and mind with the Blessed Virgin Mary. "I am all thine, my Queen and my Mother, and all that I have is thine." To all the active legionaries, may you continue to do apostolic missions for as long as your body and heart will allow, by God's grace and through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
