They need to plant many trees, as well as not throwing rubbish in the gutters, this is a problem of the citizens.

It is sad that Accra's overpopulation, felling of trees, too many building developments with not many green spaces and in addition to climate change is creating flooding after each heavy rains. Growing up in Accra during the 60s it normally rained continuously for 5 days and weeks during June, July, August, but no flooding. The problem was washed clothes not drying and cold weather.
Hopefully, with Kumasi now being the 2nd fastest growing city in GH there will be opportunities for population relocation to free up Accra a bit.
Flooding is now a global issue. This week, there were flooding in Milan, Italy and Brazil.

You forgot to mention Dubai and Riyadh, both supposedly desert locations in the Middle East!
The floods in both cities is unprecedented .
As for Accra being freed up by Kumasi, una go wait tayaaah!
We in Nigeria built a brand new capital of Abuja to free up Lagos !
40 years later, Abuja is a fully functioning federal capital, but Lagos is still twice the population of before!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Accra is always going to be Ghana's first choice destination for both locals and tourists alike!!
We have maaad floods in Lagos too!! It's not easy!!

About 99% of it. I always say Prez Akuffo Addo or Mahama do not get up in the morning and come and dump refuse in drain or wait when it is raining to do so. We are a very uncivilised people when it comes to this. We will turn around and blame successive governments.

We live in a country that when it rains, the roads become gutters and we still build foolish small open gutters when constructing roads. Are we so foolish? How greedy can we become to the extent of not thinking about building the nation how it's supposed to be built
