Regarding the limited edition issue, I like how you’re really transparent, I think you can use limited edition even if there’s a few runs of it over time, if it was me I would label them with v1, v2 etc so even each run in itself would be limited and would mean if there’s was a small change in formulation for one edition it wouldn’t matter. Or you could maybe label them the year like got cake 2022 edition. I also think you could just say it is not part of the permanent collection and may or may not come back another year. Whatever you do we will still support you and still love the polishes we manage to get our hands on.

I understand wanting to get away from using that wording, though. Personally, I’m not really a customer that gets mad about wording. Of course I’m a little bummed that I’ll probably never get the Purple Or Blue Holo Flakie Toppers. But I’m realistic and understand that you can’t have everything you want in life 😂. It is what it is. I know you want to try your best to please everyone but at the end of the day you have to do what makes sense from a business perspective, and thats totally fine. Someone will always find something to get butt-hurt over. It’s impossible to please everyone. With that said here are a couple ideas I thought sounded more neutral: “Rotating Stock”, “One of a Kind Run” (opening it to future runs but acknowledging that it might be different if it comes back out of the vault). 🤷🏻♀️

I think the issue with using the word seasonal is that people could think that it means it will come back for example every spring or every winter, and then be upset when it’s not possible to bring it back. People more invested in the brand and Cristine and her content would understand it, but if someone is a more casual and a “regular consume” who doesn’t follow the brand might not.
Not advice. Just my two cents... I absolutely trust in what Holo Taco releases. Knowing that Cristine puts it to the test and wants the best is awesome. I imagine it is difficult to want to keep customers happy, but I also want to Holo Taco to also be what Cristine wants to create and release to the world! Not just what some customers want. But I understand it's a difficult thing to navigate. Thank you Cristine for everything you do! From streaming to Holo Taco!
Maybe you could name the polishes by the year you release them, for example, Got Cake (2020 edition). This way, your customers will expect that the polish is sort of limited to the year 2020 only, but in case you want to relaunch it in the future, you can re-release it as "Got Cake (2022 edition)".
I’m really happy two limited edition polished are coming back for those who couldn’t get them. I have Everything Taco, but I’m missing Got Cake. Even if I had both of them I’d still be happy that others can get them again. Also I would greatly appreciate a warning if things are going to be taken away so I have the chance to grab an extra if it’s one of my favorites. I get that makes them sell more quickly, but since Holo Taco is basically the only thing I collect, I am always sure to order quickly once something launches. Those are just some of my thoughts.

For polishes that may have an initial limited run, which may/may not return in the future: periodic, auxiliary, reserve, contigent, conditional, indefinite. I like conditional. "This is one of our conditional polishes, as restocks are contigent on supply and demand." Its clear, but leaves you open to make decisions as necessary. Are the conditions right to bring a polish back? Is there demand? Is there supply? Is the formula cost effective? Whatever conditions you want to place, done. You can also choose to upgrade or downgrade polishes between the categories as needed.

Idk if you’ll see this comment or if it will even help you but maybe the people who do want to see when things are last chance will only be able to see it if they opt-in to the specific email or text notification where they can get an email or text to let them know when an item is getting discontinued so not everyone has to see it, only three people who really want to know. And put a warning before people opt-in saying that you absolutely DO NOT want people to opt-in if there’s any chance they’ll get even a little anxious at limited edition items. Most people probably won’t listen to it but at least people who entertains and know themselves enough can not do it. And then people could also opt out if they notice themselves getting anxious. Anyways thanks for all you do and all the care and thought you put into your business and your customers! Canadian here. I say it mar-io (mar like car) but I’ve heard some people say it the way cris and Ben say it. The accent slightly changes depending on each province/state
