Helenius is the best player we can get in the draft. He’s a perfect fit with Michkov. Right handed shot who can pass better than anyone I’ve seen in the draft. His shot is lethal. I honestly don’t know how he’s not ranked higher.
I still don't get why CBJ 2nd round pick hasn't been announced. They according to capfriendly were supposed to decided after the 1st round of playoffs were over if they were sending this years 2nd round or next years. Can't find any information about it anywhere other than the trade itself.
It's not the 1st round of playoffs. It's after the 1st round of the draft. So CBJ doesn't have to decide yet.
Helenius or Eiserman would be okay at 12. Helenius isn't the fastest skater and Eiserman loves to hunt goals to the detriment of his team . But both could get better. Personally the players I most covet are Parekh and Catton and then Iginla. Although Demidov might be falling which is surprising to me. Pronman says Parekh is falling but many say steps up on defense when needed and he's an extremely smart player so he can be molded. Has some Kimmo in his game on offense (not kimmo defense yet ) . He was breaking records at 16 , he is a stud prospect imo.
Catton has no holes in his game like Helenius but has the speed Helenius simply doesn't yet.
He would be ideal. Also Sennecke looks fantastic but he's best on the right wing which isn't a need although he could enable us to move TK who I am not saying I want to move but then taking Sennecke doesn't make much sense then.
The guy that scares me a little is Yakemchuk. Seeing some of his lowlights from early in the season they were very low lights . And again he is not a great skater but is good once he is going .
But the Flyers are going to get an outstanding prospect.
Agreed 100... The guy I see climbing is Catton. Bet he goes higher and so does Dickenson and there's good "others"falling at 12... Sit tight. Draft. Trade your big $ players and some leaders.
Always draft bpa, never draft for need
the Stanley Cup finals should have been played a month ago. Still playing hockey in late June is ridiculous. Besides Edmonton and Florida fans, the only folks that care at this point are true hockey diehards.

Oilers and panthers is a good cup matchup. One team is filled with tough defensive minded players and one team is full of skilled players. It’s a perfect matchup.
