Well done Jamie on the paua and kinas, out there doing it and getting it done. 100% agree, couple of good channels that you have mentioned. Although no dive buddy, but at least another set of eyes with Coco watching from the shore. Look forward to the next one, cheers for sharing.
This vid was a nightmare to render. I filmed it in 4k... Rendered it... Took 9 hours to render in 4k! This is why I normally render only in 1080p. My PC is 10 years old so not the fastest PC.
Jamie where did you get your line winder from Thinking I need one Cheers Great vids bro love seeing you out there and showing us your hunting and gathering 👍🙏
Hi Gerald, load up the video again and have a close look... the line winder is totally homemade from a piece of decking timber, painted red. It's a 90mm x 21mm piece of decking timber cut into a T-shape, approx 250mm long, and on the other side a piece of alumimum is bolted on. The aluminium has 2x holes drilled into either end to attach shark clip/or carribeaner clip. There are also 2x eye bolts for clipping things on. On the wooden side... there is a plastic measure device (also red) that I cut in half, which has 1x paua measure on it and 2x cray measures on it. So it's completely homemade. I did it because I didn't wanna spend money on a cheap plastic line winders you can buy which are less durable. You can get those from from Burnsco. If you want me to post close up photos in the community tab, reply to this comment and I'll do that. Thanks for checking out the video.
thanks for checking it out. I do quite a bit of paua diving and have some good vids out already, so have a look at the earlier seasons and check out some of the videos and see what you think. I'm an intermediate level diver and I still have a lot to learn in future.
Mine is a seaquel custom made suit. I did buy a green wettie 5xl 5mm suit, was absurdly long in the arms and legs. I'm 135kg so maybe not the best body type to compare to. Be careful when buying standard wetsuits, they're made for average body type. I get my suits either totally custom made, or altered to fit.
Hey Jamie, thanks for the shout out 😊 Loving your vids, keep up the good work 😁
Thanks for checking out this video. Hope you got back from Stewart island all safe and no problems
