Sleeping under the stars (in the right conditions) is amazing, I've only ever done it on UK mountains, but waking up to cloud inversions and lying awake watching the rest of the stars slowly rotate around the north star and spotting satelites and/or the ISS flying by is unbeatable. Awesome video👍🏻

Fantastic, the magic of Chamonix, it certainly draws you back for more such a beautiful place. Going at the end of the month and will definitely be doing a similar camp after watching that!!!
Did that hike yesterday and slept under the stars near where you were. Absolutely stunning! Clear skies 10 degrees c no wind and completely silent apart from a little rock fall in the distance! Thanks for the idea!!!! 👍🏼

😍beautiful views i've slept alone on the mountain once with no tents etc, on mt.Fuji at approx 3000m (near 8th stn elev), night ascent early sept(final week open for public climb) in 2016. the huts were full n i didnt do any advance bookings 😂

Such a beautiful adventure, and it’s really nice to share your moment together, me and my mrs are very much opposites but this is the type of adventure I want my daughter and I to do when she’s old enough! Looks like an absolute blast, what a great idea and awesome video. If you do any more fast packing expeditions I highly recommend the Gossamer Gear Kumo fastpack (I’m sure Atom Packs makes something similar in the UK).

They must have been Ian! Although to be fair, the water is bought up to the refuge by helicopter and that can't be cheap 😲

Just picked up one of those fenix lights for the arc 50. Amazing beam but it’s very front heavy.
This adventure and you two were just adorable in this. Your pure excitement was so evident and it must have been magical!

Cool trip! I grab a 33l pack for that stuff. I prefer the weight on my hips. Its funny, above 2000m you do get some weirdo bugs flying about.

Mountains refuges don't get their supplies delivered by truck but by helicopter hence the much steeper prices.......
