    If you get get it for the right price, it's def. something you need. Front driver clip/motor/suspension for the bashed in RV, and cockpit seats, front bunk & range cover for the burned one. Part out the generator to get back some of your investment. I wouldn't give more than $4-5k tops - but, the investment will most likely finish both of your other RV's.

    if you plan on rebuilding the one in you yard, that's you're best option. front clip for the one and seats for the other. its been sitting long enough to grow a weed. your entry bid will get it for sure

    Get the part's RV to repair the other one, IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT, selling whatever is left should cover your purchasing price or close to it. Good luck ! Love your chanel.

    I think it may be worth the gamble boys , got to add up the costs travel etc against what you get from the wreck and the scrap value of what you don’t use. Then there is getting it home 600 miles on a trailer or wrecker not cheap !

    the cam is bent on your wrecked one probably the head also at the cam journals.you know better than I what it'll cost to get the florida one back plus fees .
    there is a huge rv wrecking yard in kentucky.

    Thing about RV keys is the compartments are all keyed alike, even from one unit to the next. In fact, I think the only locks that have different keys from unit to unit are the chassis and the door deadbolt. There's only a handful of different keys RV manufacturers use for the compartments (its a standard key cut, you can buy it online!). So your keys would almost certainly have opened those compartments.

    This one seems great buy for both rvs…the newer ones front end damage is serious challenge the cab cut/swap…all the fiberglass work has real responsibilities to for structural stability. (Reinforcing will be important)

  • @airgun1974
    @airgun1974 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    make sure that windshield is going to fit frame supports ect on the original as that windshield is larger on the burnt one you went and looked at. Might not matter sense you will be using the whole front fiberglass cap.

  • @2Moza

    Like i said a long time ago there was a Recall on those Thor RV's for wiring problem, As for the one your looking at now i would offer $ 2 to 4, Thousand if it can be used for the front and chassis of the other Rv at the workshop. But somewhere along the line you will lose one of them but make up the loss in parts .

  • @ingresswizard9044
    @ingresswizard9044 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Obviously you need this parts one to fix the crashed one. I will say one HUGE difference between the 2015 and 2016+ Vegas is they changed the windshield. The 2015 a below extend on the top an extra 12 inches or so. If you are splicing in the entire front end this should not matter but if you are going to use the windshield on the burnt one then it might be an issue.

  • @philipdavison5904
    @philipdavison5904 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    If that goes for a low price you get the whole front for your one,pretty sure the engine will be working,get a windscreen guy in to remove and fit the screen,not worth trying to save a few bucks only to break it.The tyres look pretty good,it should go low.Those great big ones are very nice but those ones are a little bit too badly damaged for you to fix,when they are on the older side you need to pick a make and model that you like,you then need to look to see can you pick up two at the same time or a while after and make one good out of the two.That F250 did not look bad,trouble is plenty of people will see it and it won't go cheap.

    I really think you should try to grab that Freightliner if you think it would be worth your time to fix it. If it’s a diesel (I’m pretty sure it is) those motor homes are more valuable than gas motor homes and can carry way more than gas.

    Depending on the price, that may be your cheapest option to get a new front cap, the bed and (hopefully!) a working engine (or, at least the parts you need to make the other one work).

  • @btcbob11392
    @btcbob11392 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The biggest problem with any RV including the million dollar ones is a total lack of safety standards for the wiring and accessories like A/c units, heaters etc. That is one reason there are many RV fires. If I'm not mistaken, the only thing that has to pass any type of certification is the " rolling chassis " . After that you can build or bolt on anything and wire it anyway you feel like.
    These days with everybody cutting corners to make a few more bucks shortcuts will be taken any where they can find them.

  • @oldschool1993
    @oldschool1993 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Use the seats and stuff out of the wreck and finish your fire rebuild, then put the remains up for sale- maybe you'll find a guy who has one hit or burned in rear. You don't need 2 of them.

    It all depends what is useable on it and how much the parts would cost themselves. Would it be cheaper to buy them individually (if you can find them)? Or, would the cost of all the available parts be more than what you pay for the vehicle?
    It's all down to what you van get it for guys. 👍

    I'd get that. Need to figure your time for transport, etc. but whatever that motor costs plus the glass separately will likely be far more than it sells for. Of course, if a dumb insurance company sells it On Approval, they may have a vastly inflated view of its value. From what I've seen at Copart, many of these insurance companies have no idea what the salvage value is of some of these units. I'm betting the motor is good on that one.
