Sad people comment on the negative things about Alcorn rather than the improvement the program has made . May have things to work on, but this is definitely an improved HBCU band overall.

Good luck on that, the last time they really really seen each other I was in the band in 02 , True the football team lost but the band took care of business and we got rocks throw at the bus for making the human jukebox look like shit. That year we tooked down two Swac bands and been rolling every since.

Alcorn's 5th quarter selections are so predictable, loud high schoolish arrangements that don't sound good. Miles had a polished sound and some nice arrangements. Finessed alcorn when they needed to and displayed power when they needed to! I would love to see them against jsu or su. This one wasn't close!

In my opinion MILES is has a more dynamics,range,technique, versatility in their sound and better arrangements. Alcorn is nothing but loud with no character in their sound.

Alcorn music selections was more prevalent , how ever I felt a lot of passions from Miles music 5th quarter tie. However Miles need to be a little more discipline on time, no need to drag the song out when your a great band.

So my honest opinion is that Miles won. Alcorn wasn't even getting beat that bad until after that Tank song. The song Alcorn chose to respond with after that Tank song was gonna be the deciding factor and Alcorn dropped the ball. It just came down to song selection for Alcorn.. Don't get me wrong, that Bruno Mars is a good song, it just was the wrong time to play it especially when you're on the losing side of the battle.. And they could have left that old Rihanna song "money on my mind" or whatever it's called, where they found it.. Throw that whole arrangement in the trash. Alcorn should have won this.
