Many Jamacians and Lesser Antilles were deposit in Centro Americas or travel to fine work. Jamacians have help build the Panamal canal, they are deposit in Cuba and Cayman Islands.
@@kfelix2934 Sure thing, I encountered many ethnic Jamaicans in Limón province in Costa Rica, lived in that area for awhile.
@Richie Redw a Haitian friend of mine, told me about these people in Nicaragua and Costa Rica with Jamaican accent. Said they went over during the building of the Panama Canal.

Ace, a big thank you for showing us more of the places where they don't tend to show or want to show the world. The locals are friendly but are said to be bad...but you tend to find that people who are poor are the most welcoming and are willing to share the little that they have..bless them all and to you for showing them to us on your travels.

Growing up in the Moravian Church in the Virgin Islands of Antigua heritage..we knew of our English-speaking bros & sis from Nicaragua. I’ve always been interested in visiting.. but didn’t know much about the Garífuna til about 20 yrs ago(im over 50) These outer islands of Nicaragua, Belize and Columbia are now on my Bucket list thanks to you Ace. You do good work! I’ve seen most of your videos. Did I miss one of Cuba? I’ve got to go there too. In the meantime.. it’s lovely to see my cousins thru your embracing lens. In my home country, we speak Spanish, English, Patois, and many more Miskito languages. Nicaraguans, we are very mixed with races like: Spains (Europeans), Africans, Brazilians, Puerto Ricans, Frenchs, Jews (Middle)East, Chinese (Asians), and others.

Corn Island is great for scuba diving. One of my students from Nicaragua recommended this place as a great dive spot. I highly recommend it for certified scuba divers.

Beautiful environment, lush greenery. Some people on Corn Island, sounds like people in San Andres, Colombia. Some do sound like Jamaican 😊.
By the way 100 years ago San Andres was part of Nicaragua 🇳🇮 but the government of Nicaragua 🇳🇮 during those years neglected San Andre island 🏝️ , what specifically San Andres and the government of Colombia 🇨🇴 were more helpful and they took Nicaragua island of San Andres so basically, it is the same people.
Tienes razon que es la misma gente de Nicaragua porque San Andres por historia siempre fue de Nicaragua , por eso es logico que es la misma gente, pero como despues de unos famosos tratados , se la quitaron a Nicaragua con alguna excusa sin sentido, cuando incluso Nicaragua esta mas cerca de San Andres en el caribe que colombia que esta tan lejos de la Isla de San Andres, pero lo mas logico que es que si San Andres esta en region de Nicaragua con gente de Nicaragua , le pertenezca a Nicaragua ,y no a colombia que esta tan lejos , pero tu misma tu misma tuvistes la respuesta,cuando dices que San Andres es la misma gente de Nicaragua , es porque San Andres es legitimamente de Nicaragua, pero para no entrar en polemica , San Andres, es la isla con gente de Nicaragua , en territorio legitimo de la region de Nicaragua , por tanto es territorio que fue de Nicaragua , hasta que se la robaron los colombianos pero siempre tendra la gente de Nicaragua por eso la gran similitud de gente de Nicaragua en corn island con gran parte de gente de San Andres, es lo mas logico que hablastes, porque son las mismas personas de Nicaragua, aunque ahora haya parte de gente de colombia desde que se tomaron gran parte de la isla de San Andres , los originarios de San Andres, son gente de Nicaragua, muy bien que lo reconocistes a esta gente linda de Nicaragua, saludos

Little Jamaica in Nicaragua that's the way go yardman style.
I don't understand why Jamaicans think they're the only ones that speak patois/patwa.... Many people from all the other Islands speak patwa such as people from Antigua, Nicaragua, Honduras and Belize and many other islands like Saint Kitts I can go on and on... I think maybe because they don't travel to other Islands and are always trying to get to the US for a better life.
Nicaragua and Jamaica have a long history you had people migrating back and forth between islands because of the British colonizing both places. Also the Miskito of Nicaragua came to Jamaica to help the British subdue the Maroon people: however many Miskitos stayed in Jamaica. And intermixed with the native Jamaicans There particularly in Saint Elizabeth Jamaica, I've alot of Nicaraguan relatives because of this that's why there are many similarities in culture including the patwa. Many Jamaicans particularly from Saint Elizabeth area have Miskito blood from.nicaragua. also the Miskitos king came to Jamaica exiled dnd was even buried in Jamaica and some of the family stayed in Jamaica. I'm a family genealogist so I've paper trail and DNA testing etc etc. I still would love to visit Nicaragua. There is an area in Westmoreland Jamaica called bluefields
@@gunzman911 Many Jamaicans do not think that you are not correct when you generalize a statement like that. Maybe you've come across some that think that but over all Jamaicans do not think that. That would be ignorant. If so it would only be because they truly do not know the history of colonization and carribean islands.

That’s not a Jamaican influence. They were once British plus if you’ve ever been any where else in the Caribbean, they all say it. Yes, there’s a heavy influence of Jamaican culture, but they also do calypso and other afro Spanish music.
Nicaragua is Nicaragua.
Maybe Jamaica is influenced by Nicaragua.
In fact, Nicaragua Caribbean coast was English way before Jamaica.

Buay oh buay!! haha Big up my country my region! Nicaraguan for life! Caribbean girl for life! Here reading comments and seeing how everyone is confusing us with Jamaicans. Not gonna lie, it is true back in our history slaves from Jamaica came with the British monarchy. This is based on what historians have taught us! But, although we have some similarities we are still different. We speak Creole, but at the same time, our Creole have differences. When I speak to my Jamaican husband, he has to wonder what this word means what that word means because we use it differently and have a mixture of Spanish in our creole. More information about Nicaraguan Caribbean people can be found in the documentary The black Creoles from Lunafilmsnic.

The Corn Islands were a British possession first and populated by Creole peoples from the British Caribbean, and then administered by the U.S. from 1899-1970. That’s why English is the primary language even though it’s part of Central America. It’s similar to Belize in that way.
