Anthony doesn't understand that comics don't get philosophy or history beyond the cliches. Ant is absolutely correct in the fact that armed personnel of nearly any description are a significant factor in any tactical scenario. Jim sounds like one of those guys who never cared about anything political and thought of it as stupid, then he has kids and instantly decided it's perfectly rational that everything needs to be designed for people as stupid and irresponsible as his family members. The way you govern your degenerate experiments in your own house, and the ideal way a hierarchy of responsible people should govern a group of 300something million people are completely different sets of rules and moral codes.

But I feel like his political stances have spun around a little, or, at the very least, are no longer internally consistent -- "gun nuts who say our govt is taking over are stupid" (2013) -- "they want us to stand up and perform like seals" (2021). The gun discussion: Ant is too passionate about it, and Breuer is playing devils advocate. I'm no gun owner but, the 2nd amendment states we have the right. The purpose?
