Personally this is the by far the best song Ministry ever wrote. The lyrics, the delivery, drums ,guitar synth...it all just works perfectly.

I got it from BMG or Colombia House back in the early 90s when they were doing that 12 CDs for a penny deal just wasn't really into it.. Except Lava? I think it was a song called Lava that was a good song. But this is a badass song too and glad I was recommended to watch it.. 🤘🏻😠🤘🏻

@@TurboLemon @Fly Paper cos many people grew up on electronic industrial ministry in late 80s. This is the slowest and imo the heaviiest ministry album. Al was inspired by the 90s sludgy/alternative rock/grunge at the time, call it whatever, but Uncle Alien was always on the ball..
      Eveything is useless

This song accompanied me when I'm in hospital to ease the extreme pain of hemorrhoids stage 4 surgery. Not just because of the pain is unbearable, but being alone at hospital without anyone looking after me. If not because of this song (playing at loop for hours) I might giving up.

There is no better contemporary piece of music that so eloquently illustrates how death, collapse, and decay are an inextricable part of the essential catharsis that eventually leads to rebirth and renewal. "Nothing is lost, nothing is created...everything is transformed." -A. Lavoisier

To me, he (Al Jourgenson) is the Bishop, and on behalf of the Queen (society’s rulers), he’s inviting us to watch the fall of civilization. All of us were taken (for a ride) and all that was is gone, meaning nothing will ever be the same, or, as it was.
This song, is melodically, lyrically, and texturally a masterpiece, on par with any modern music ever written.

Look that is total nonsense. If you remember the popularity of the Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste and the explosion of Psalm 69, you would know that they were celebrated and cited as a huge influence on the music scene at the time. Psalm 69 was a platinum album for crying out loud. I read a lot of music press at that time and they were everywhere. Unfortunately Heroin had long had its hooks in the band and they succumbed to that devastation and were subsequently eclipsed by other bands. Those albums are still widely regarded and rated as classics.
