i started using the giants defensive playbook basically when i first started playing madden 22 but found out that blitzing and then pass commiting is absurdly good especially with a qb contain on and a good user

Can't you save a step by having your defense set to base on the zone drop adjustment screen. Or does coming out normal then base aligning do some different?

My struggles in Madden was I use to play too much coverage defense. The moment I started applying blitz schemes and combining coverage/blitz concepts, I started to see progress. Slot corner blitzes is my go-to move
I run 70% blitzes, the other amount is mostly goalline plays.
Its always been about creating pressure. Thats alot of things to do before the snap. Hurry up offense will help beat that defense. But w.e works for people. I personally do alot of d-lime shifts with all my blitzs. Even on coverage plays. You cant always come out in the same look.. good content!!

This is what I used to call cheeseball, horseshit defense when I used to play Madden. It’s like finding a play where the DT just walks through the line completely untouched every play and the other player stands no chance. If it doesn’t look like an actual defense you see on TV on Sundays…I call Horse Shit

Facts all Madden has become is unrealistic football fill with a bunch of animations and people abusing certain glitches & glitch plays in the game that Madden refuses to fix

@@EnlistedBum it's literally the exact same concept of what you do with your user in this blitz. The Dolphins had two guys engage the o-lineman in front of them and then back off, plus a guy that was locked on the running back (so he blitzes if the RB blocks, follows him if the RB goes out). It's the exact same concept, but in Madden you can only have one player engage & back off (rather than two for the Dolphins) since you only have one user
Been on a losing streak and won 2 games as soon as I implemented this.

At first I could never beat this blitz. It almost made madden unplayable for me. Knowing how to beat it is great and even helps me run effective defenses now because I know what guys are gonna do to counter it. Great video

@@nickhenrichsen4483 Could you share how to counter this? Even after watching the video, I'm not sure what to do if I don't have escape artist on. Seems like max protect still wouldn't work because the center gets tricked into doing nothing so the blocking assignments get screwed up.
@@maverickx301 run against it since the defense will get the weak box debuff from the pass commit. Force them to respect the run and they'll either adjust and you'll get more time in the pocket or they won't and you'll get free yards on the ground

Maddens been ruined for years. Not only the game itself but the player base. Everybody runs the same cheesey ass blitz play you see in the video. Everybody runs the same cheesey ass offensive plays. Madden is one of the most boring games you could ever buy for $70

Funny... I've been doing this for months minus 2 of the 7 audibles. I constantly get messages saying I play weird . Then I come on TH-cam looking for new ways to beat outside throwing and I see this ... it's extremely ironic.
Another great blitz is Sam will blitz pinch and slant outside dline and show blitz and base align

Just started using this defense currently I’m 2-0 it’s easy to adjust because I run it with a mix of other defenses nickel 3-4 odd etc it works as advertised 😤💪🏾 Edit: I’ve been absolutely Destroying people😭

I’ve used this formation since the patriots invented to beat the rams in the Super Bowl. I run Sam will blitz basically every play and user the linebacker but I call it option defense. If I think I can get the sack with the linebacker then I go for it but if I can’t I cover the RB

Instead of the QB dropping back, he(QB) just need to the is step forward and throw quicker passes. See the one front lineman will pickup the rush coming. Just send TN up the middle, RB out on a route, slats passes. Than use hard count to draw u off side... Game Over 🎮

To combat this you gotta just run the ball. Inside runs key with a quick back. If wanting to pass keep extra rb or TE

I challenge you to stop the run using the Eagles. I guarantee you can't. The D-Line never block sheds to make tackles for losses, LBs tend to fall, and the secondary tends to run right at a blocker. I'm ranked 9th, and I tried every formation. Every single opponent in H2H has MUT 100 ovr - latch on-can't block shed blocking.
Last time I played Madden competitively was Madden 97. I can't believe it's already 2022.

to all my cfm players..... to get a safety at mlb in this formation follow these steps:
1. change your defensive playbook to one that has the 4-3 even 6-1 in it (the playbook you will be using)
2. change the safety you want to user position to mlb
3. sub him in at mlb under the formation subs section in manage staff
4. change him back to safety (he will still be subbed in at lb in 4-3 even 6-1 and now he gets the db animations instead of linebacker ones)

And therein lies the number one issue with madden - pre snap adjustments shouldn't be the basis for "skill gap"

Awesome video! What strategy cards would you recommend to use on the defense? I have The Island Rare Strat card and run stuff rare card, but I read that in the zone card for DBs is way better!
Hey Joel! I think by far the most important strat cards on defense are the ones that give +1 SPD to all of your DBs, so I have two "In The Zone" strat cards. It's important to make sure it's two unique "In The Zone" strat cards though, meaning the 4th attribute listed is different on each card. So in my case one card gives +PUR in the 4th spot and the other gives +TAK there, but most importantly they both give +SPD in the 5th spot. It's important to get unique cards because identical cards won't stack!
I love applying pressure and getting a loss of ten yards or more on the opposing team.

Quarter 1-3-7 db blitz when opponent is in shotgun. Take left cb on the outside blitz way outside the tackle and then pursue QB. CB’s are a lot faster than LB. And also they cover flats faster if ball dumped over there heads. But whatever

Good vid I’ve been running this blitz for a while now I noticed that you don’t really want to run it every play as people will catch on. I normally run it when I need pressure or to stop the run cause it helps in the run game a lot

Spruce I’ve been running this today but I often get seamed streaked in zone and I often give up routes like flats and outs
With only 4 in coverage besides your user I know it’s hard to cover everything but any suggestion

This is not a every down defense and if you are running it every down you have to put you DE in different assignments depending on how he is attacking you

“What do all too Madden players have in common”?
They expose glitches in coverages and plays and just run it all game. Every game. It’s not about football in or even skills. It’s literally just about exposing glitches in the game.
How do you adjust both defensive ends into flats ?, you mention it but don’t say how, can you give detailed controls. Are you just hitting way and then picking each DE seperately, that would take way to long after all these adjustments. And thanks for the bud👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

I figured out i defensive scheme I play literally only zone coverage like cover 2,3,6 in 4 3 and alignment and then but my dts slanted outside and contain my de and it’s amazing against the run and deep pass

1. Do you stay and cover only the zone ?
2. Men coverage, what is more important, to cover the TE or HB?

Guard the quick threats (RB & TE) unless they're running into zones that are already covered, then just cover the middle of the field!

Copying my response to another user: It's a roster glitch that takes WAY too long to explain, but basically it's: In your MUT lineup screen have one ROLB and one LOLB at MLB and no backup MLBs. Then have one LE at LOLB and one RE at ROLB and no backup OLBs anywhere, even in specialists. Then in game you pause, go to your depth chart and auto re-order. The game will put the highest overall player on your team at MLB. You have to be careful though, because that includes offensive players!

Yep, I definitely recommend using an Inside Stuff if possible! And always be ready to sprint outside with your user to guard against the stretch
You beat a blitz by having quick routes and dumping off to the RB. Most Madden players don’t know rea football concepts so they struggle
And this scheme is taking advantage of trash AI but that’s EA’s fault…

Where do you use the rest of your abilities? Do you acrobat your secondary or do you use the leftover ap on your dline?
The other abilities vary by individual, I just went over the ESSENTIAL abilities in the video. I use acrobat on my user, an inside stuff on the d-line, acros and deep out zone ko's on my safeties, and flat zone ko's on my CBs

They still can't keep overpowered plays from existing. From Madden 05 till now, there has always been an exploitable defensive play that ruined the gameplay. Madden 08 was probably the worst in that regard. On regular Xbox, though, it was actually the offense that had an exploit by switching taller fast receivers to tight end and running certain routes in a certain formation.
06 was probably the most exploitable defense problems as not only could you run a 3-4 blitz that completely annihilated the run game and force the opponent to run shotgun all game but defenders had super jump lol

1) Do you recommend base aligning, even when playing man defense?
2) Besides the Seahawks, are there any other teams in regs that you recommend using this defense with?
Dont base align in man unless you have zones with it and you could use the cards or vikes or niners all three teams have solid linebackers with lurker or decent speed lbs’s same
