Thanks 👍 Yesterday I tried paddling the 21” downwind board 100L (my weight 75 kg) on flat water for the first time, I didn't expect it to be so difficult to keep my balance. Swell was 1 foot. But today on the second day no swell, I already stood up to my full height and covered twice as much distance in an hour of training. It's a little progress, but it makes me happy.
Epic! A little bit of swell can make it much much harder! If you are going to try do some stronger paddling and pumping make sure your going with the swell not against/across. We tried on what we thought was “flat water” the other day but there was a small rolling swell and it was much more difficult.
No worries. I weigh around 71Kg and was using 6'10x19"x79L Sunova Downwind with Code 1130S + 142AR with short fuse and 80cm mast. This is not exactly the equipment that I would recommend to use for learning but I have loved this board for nearly all conditions.
Fantastic break down Hugh. Thank you!
