Hi. Evrithing is great so far. I will be posting a final video with the car soon. Did you buy the bearings acording to the color codes? If you didn't had to rectify the crankshaft you have writen on the engine block and the crankshaft some letters that are color codes that refer to the thickness of the bearings. This is for the main bearings. I haven't had any prpblems with the standard rod bearings. In part 4 of the rebuild series i am instaling the pistons, you can check that video if it helps.
Hi Stefan. My oryginal crankshaft is damaged, so i bought second one, which is in great condition, nominal. New one has SSSSS, oryginal GGGGS. Block colors GGGGS. Can i buy upper main bearings exactly the same like before (colors from blok) and lower bearing adapt to new crankshaft? What's the deal with the conrod bearings? Is there only one type (yellow GLB)? Great job!
@@andrzejkrawczyk7627 If you change the crankshaft you have to get some plastigauge to measure the thickness. With some used but good condition bearings you measure the thickness and then with the plastigauge you can find out if you need to go oversize or undersize bearings.
Only engine mount is enough, support the motor at the subframe, bolt at the front and one from the back, that one can be loosened from the top, just clear it out at the intake passenger side.
Good!!!!!

What is effect of your rebuild? Everythink works fine? I am problem with fitment conrod bearing to my CDRA.
Excelente estoy por hacer un cambio de motor
Que le pasa al motor?
Anyone know how to remove starter ?
You have to remove the alternator (generator) and the engine mount.
You could try removing only the engine mount but it would be hard to get.
