Why have this country fractured on some distant unrelated religious political ancient Middle eastern struggles . (There are also struggles of war , persecution, etc etc in in Sudan, Bangladesh, Syria etc etc worth helping refugees to flee from.) Not one word or recognition that basically they are supporting a terrorist organization. Hamas are terrorists and Gaza was elected by people who supported terrorists and whose govt is run by a terrorists state, and it was heinous and barbarous to deliberately start a war by invading Israel and butcher and kidnap innocent people. How does this fit with their faith beliefs. No word of condemnation!! only silent justification. No word that the hostages need to be released! its just seems to be all about them and what they perceive are their rights and entitlements. This is Australia. Seems to beg the question do they even want to be Australian?
why did 'one incident in Gaza unite muslims'? Because it wasn't Gaza that united them. There was no outpouring of united anger for any of the massively larger massacres of muslims in Yemen, or in Syria, or in Iraq, caused by other muslims. The thing that galvanised an outpouring of collective and united anger wasn't the casualties in Gaza - it was the nation that they could blame for it. What united them was not a shared sympathy for Gazans, but a shared hatred for Israel.

Those politically secular minded Muslims are incredibly based, they should look into Dennis Prager (from Prager U on TH-cam)'s book "Still The Best Hope". Modern religious conservatism focuses on legislating the values of the religions in your society, not their every dictate, along with a nominal declaration of the religion of the state as is present in the UK monarchy, a state you could hardly call a "theocracy". These things are certainly not backward, and far wiser than liberalism. I'm sure such ideas will be popular all over the Muslim world soon.
Why is there a so-called clash of faiths even being mentioned in our beautiful multicultural country, because the large majority of migrants who’ve entered our country are more than willing to assimilate into our cultural beliefs, values, rules and laws and if who we are,as proud Australians is under threat from anyone who doesn’t want to assimilate into our societies and they want to force their Ideology into our Parliament, then why are they here, because Muslim votes don’t matter in our country and the only votes that will ever matter is the ones that represent all Australians.
