Hey lads great vid again! I may be able to help with the mystery find Rick had.. ya know the thing you thought might be a screwdriver… and you’re kinda right! I’m pretty sure it’s the disposable, snap off, screwdriver that comes attached to the screw of a new bulls ring. So when you install the ring on the bulls nose you close the ring together (as it’s a hinged split ring) you screw in the screw and that tab snaps off. I found one last summer on my brothers farm here in Co Cork. Probably went out in the slurry! HH guys love the channel.
The ring pulls make cracking bait alarms! You hang the beaver tail on the line and place metal coffee can on the ground under the line and when the fish takes the bait and run the ring pull falls in the can and make a load noise. If it's windy you connect more the one or put some ground bait in the ring for weight.
