It always feels rewarding learning the bosses, Exploring finding secret areas, New cool weapons and armor sets ect.. My first souls game is Dark Souls 1 when it came out in 2011. I got so confused the first time playing it and end up raging at the 3rd boss. I quit the game for a year... As I return to it, I slowly getting better at understanding the game more that to me its doesnt need to be about ''go all in'' on the boss, Its a learning curve. 🙌

Hope you had an amazing wedding!! I started bloodbourne recently after Elden Ring being my first soulslike game and I have been joying it, haven’t finished it yet though.
You can buy blood vials in the Hunters Dream, and farm them from a couple large enemies in-between the first lamp and an elevator shortcut. You can even run a route across the bridge at the bottom of the elevator, ending just before the boss room. A lot of enemies drop blood vials there. I know you're playing casually, but getting enough of vials makes the playthrough much less stressful.
If you shoot an enemy just before their attack lands they will enter a stagger animation (parry) you can then walk up and hold R1 which will do an attack that deals high damage hoped this help 🦑👁️🧠😴

Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 are tied for my favorite fromsoft game ever. If you haven't played it already, i highly recommended ds3. Actual masterpiece of a game.
This game can be difficult with healing items not replenishing like they do in elden ring. The large enemies, like the one that bangs on the big door, tend to drop blood vials often if you're able to kill them consistently. Enemies that shoot guns will usually drop bullets too. I think your playstyle is pretty smart too, running passed intimidating encounters when trying to explore is something i do too 👍
