- Introducing the #radioshack golden arrow 1/10 frame buggy we got from our friend @AddamsPlayground . Plans are to make it brushless and do a “resto-mod” vs a restoration. I always wanted one of these as a kid but never got one.

Good project these are a blast
Thanks Brent. I’m looking forward to it, I never had one as a kid, but got to run em in the mall at our local radio shack.
That’ll be a fun project, very awesome of Addam!👍😊
Glad you’re starting to feel better!
Thanks buddy.
Awesome, this buggy's going straight to the moon when it's finished😂
We will see lol 😂
What a beauty of a buggy Thad! Glad to see your feeling better buddy! Oh boy, new rc content from IBRc’s I’m excited!😁🙌🤗
Thanks buddy, it’ll be a fun project
Glad you’re feeling better. Nice project vehicle. 👍🏻
Thanks buddy. Hope you guys are doing well..
Can't wait to see it fly‼️👍👍🦾🦾🤘🤘
And fly it should
Great project Thad looking forward to seeing the final results and how it does with the brushless setup
Thanks buddy. It’s torn apart on the bench. I gotta get some sort of steering rod ends and balls. Thought I had some stashed but can’t find em
Hell Yeah 😊 Thaddy awesome kit!
Vintage RC’s are a blast. Brings me back to my childhood
That’s going to be a cool project 👍
A piece of RC history and mine and many others childhood 😁
Should be a fun build!
Definitely. Looking forward to this piece of my childhood
That's awesome as these buggies did not survive very well. Looks pretty cool!!
Most got rode hard and put away wet, but this one survived. I’m looking forward to breathing new life into it
I loved my golden arrow when I was a kid
I always wanted one as a kid. Never got one
Can't wait to see how this turns out .
They were faster than their Nikko and Tamiya brethren back when they were new. I won’t beat on it too hard but still want it to be fun
Looking forward to seeing your progress. Looks like it's in great shape. I hope that motor doesn't destroy that gearbox!! :)
These gearboxes are rock solid, and use the same internals as most Tamiya’s like the hornet, hopper, etc.. it’ll be a bit tamer though cause I’ll run it on nimh vs lipo
You're hobbyup-grading it, cool. I had 3 Sagittas at one time. One my sisters boyfriend gave me, one I bought at regular price, and one I got on clearance for 40 bucks. All they needed were some better shocks, they had good power and speed.
I always wanted one of those as well. Pretty much the same car.. hard to believe these things are almost 40 years old now
@@IowaBudgetRCBashers Sure is!
cool project,let it rip brother
Should be fun
Man I had this bigger red buggy from Radio Shack liked something like that! Very cool project dude!
Cool info on it like a little history from the 80s 😁
Holy with that motor won’t it fly??
Tge Red Arrow must’ve been what you had. They were also 1/10 it had a mono shock in the rear. It should be fast. I won’t run it on lipo though only nimh so it will be a bit tamer
Yea it must have been rhe 1/10 ohhh the good old days radio shack……worked all summer to by that one. Was like a $100 in 1990……emailed re the elf today, to see how our good friend was doing. I’m are you have but if you haven’t lately send him your thanks!!!
🍻brother
Should be fun!! I think your motor won't work with the tamiya esc the tamiya esc is for censored motors and yours is a non censored motor so I think you will need another esc to run it.
From what I read it’ll work, but it may not be as controlled and have some lag . Guess we will see
I can't remember if I had this. I know I had every Tyco Turbo Hopper and similar. But GUY It's not called radio shack It's called rat shack 🤣🤪😂
Hahaha
A bit of a Hornet clone, how much of it was made to almost match it.
They’re very similar to a hornet. They’re a Nikko f10 chassis which had several names over the years. Also they’re identical to the Traxxas cat their first rtr car
Run it hard no shelf queen please.
I’ll run it, but my vintage stuff sees mostly shelf life, because the plastic is weak
