If there were a parking lot full of bikes, I'd gravitate toward this bike. It stands out. These are rare bikes and were the top-of-the-line cafe' style bike back in its day. Love the headlight story.
Me as well just an amazing looking bike. Would hate to own it. Christ could you imagine if you dropped it with those crazy fairings made of unobtainium? You’d have to buy the whole Norton company from whoever owns them this week so you could get the molds to make them again.
Beatiful Norton. I have a very unique John Player replica with "made in finland"-replica plastics. rest of the bike is basically a early commando from 1969. i built it from boxes of parts. cheers!
I;m an old geezer and I remember Peter Williams and his Norton's very well. This is a very nice bike although I prefer the, usually yellow, Norton Commando 750 Production Racer. To me that is a more elegant bike, yet not as rare as this John Player Special. Thank you.
Oh my God, that is the rarest holy cow. Absolutely phenomenal info sir. Amazing! I mean amazing! I hope that bike is at your museum. That is extremely rare. More rarer than the Indian. You blow my mind mind-blowing mind-blowing. Absolutely amazing video Ronnie absolutely amazing info Billy! Amazing Kaplan cycle. You blow my mind number one beautiful work Kaplan team The holy Grail of all motorcycles
I was on Facebook Marketplace just window shopping and I stumbled upon a little kawasaki 80 but different so I tried finding it on your channel and for the first time I couldn't find that bike. It was a 1988 KD80X
Dunstall mufflers are much louder and meaner sounding when the disks are removed at the discharge end. Removing the single bolt is all it takes to remove the disks. A follow up video with the open Dunstalls would be appreciated, if you have the bandwidth for such activities.
Not necessarily a racing bike. The john players are a cosmetic modification. No performance modifications were made to the machine. The stock Nortons were just plain fast. I had a '74 850 commando. It went over 135 mph with no fairing and running pump gas.
WOW - what a machine !! This is for real men If u cried when Caitlyn Jenner won the courage award or u wear skinny jeans move on this isn't for you !!!
we all know you'r gonna be asking stupid money for this. but hey Ken, don't you want to see if you can get the front end up? even just a little bit😄 i'm sure jnr could do it.
Billy aka "THE PROFESSOR" is a wealth of knowledge! Love the I95 Norton headlight story.

Definitely, an interesting and informative video. Billy was like a young kid on Christmas Day, on that beautiful bike. Lol
Nothing quite like the sound of a 360 British Twin with upswept pipes!
Knocking it out of the park! Norton indeed!!!! What a cool bike!!
Wow super cool. I have a 1978 Norton commando 750 myself
I would love to do a chat with y'all and a pint would help. Wonderful history, had one in 70' , had plastic fenders. Very smooth ride.
Wow - what a gem
Really cool. Billy knows his shit 😎

Craig Vetter had a hand in designing the Triumph Hurricane, do you know if he had a hand in this?
