The first time I see many balls inscribed inside a sphere .Thank you

You can either take a dodecahedron or an icosahedron and sketch a hexagon on the center of one of its faces , then surround the face with hexagons which are equal sized to the original hexagon.Project vertices onto a circumscribed sphere, connect and pattern using the symmetry axes of the respective solid.

stretched skin construction in metal sheets, especially alluminium, was an interesting topic... what about a concentric construction... interior dome (the little one) bolted/riveted at outside leaps, exterior dome bolted or riveted toward inside... in the middle polyurethane foam will glue and insulate the entire structure proceeding spraying at a certain point of the assembly... also fixing tubes and piping for wires and plants.

I made a 30 sided polyhedron that has two duals, a icosahedron and a dodecahedron. They are Golden Ratio diamonds. It's on the 3D Warehouse.

Paul, did you ever do a tutorial on converting one of your plans do a different size for imperial measurements?

Can the G15 plans I purchased from you be converted to a hex and if so? How would that change the interior angles?

The three frequency hex looks like it could easily be halved or am I missing something?

theoretically, we could make a map projection without much deformation using a higher degree figure here?

Hey Paul, I’m wondering if I could do a 9V honeycomb dome 9 meters or around 30feet imperial, with Howard and Annies honeycomb method, only using steel tubes and your wangerflange to join them. I want to anchor it to a deck. I’m and artist not a builder but I would really like to figure out if I can do it with your new product. I’m of course wondering how to stabilize the hinges as I build, so I can handle cutting the metal and putting the pieces together myself until it comes time to raise the dome. It’s ok if it’s not possible, but I thought I would ask before abandon the idea. I’m certain I want a 9V Honeycomb design, but I really don’t want to use wood unless I have to. Many Thanks, Kenya

What are the cons and benefits on hexa domes vs geodesic domes?
I saw some domes with two layers which form a combination of both or 2 layers of hexa dome.

Benefits are: fewer components and larger window area. Cons are: Anything that isn't triangular won't be inherently stable. In double skin system one layer is usually the dual of the other then triangle framework is attached between skins, this will stiffen the structure. hope this helps.

@@Geo-Dome Hi paul, I am from Argentina, can I make some other questions? here or in your page? Tell me and I will copy paste.
I saw most of your videos, but there are some doubts that I still have.
I common see that even taking into fact that a geodesic dome structure is way more strong in comparison to a normal roof/house, people keep using thick wood planks, this does not neglect the material benefits that a dome should have?
Or they choose thick and strong wood to avoid rot or other issues to extend the lifespan? A thin wood well treated with varnish or something similar would not last much? What about WPC compound, you try them before? Although they don't seem so rigid, they bend a bit more.
I would love to make it from metal (my uncle has a business and makes any kind of machine with that), but I see some issues with a metal frame.
If it is pipe or "T", then we have less "thickness towards the sphere center" to distribute the forces in the top of the roof for example, this could be solve with a smart a double layer but it becomes harder to design and to apply windows and thermal sealing.
I know enough about thermal insulation or energy efficiency in all their forms, using tricks that I want to exploit with a new type of design, but the frame selection is still an issue, taking into account this would be for a small 2 floor house.

Hi paul, I am from china, so happy to see your video because I am working on my graduation project about that. Can you teach me how to build a 6 or 9 frequency by sketchup?
