Thank you for the video. It proved invaluable. Making the base cabinet, was a piece of cake. I love putting together flat pack furniture. But as soon, as the instructions mentioned the drawer unit, I was lost. The instructions became confusing, as I was having to switch through two different instruction leaflets. I was uncomfortable with the idea of marking points on the cabinet, as did n't know if it was measuring correctly and then drilling in the right place or no. Lucky I found this video. Not sure why they don't mention, the video in the instructions. Not sure why they don't provide pre-drilled holes, which work in both situation where you have a drawer or not. I wish this video would have gone further and showed how to fit a hob and oven. With the hob need to place between the back panel and front panel, but also allow for services.
I have a dilemma, I've got another fan oven, but because of the electric socket and the gas pipe that are inside the oven housing unit, the new cooker won't go in, the only solution I can think of without having to get 2 tradesmen in to move everything, is to do away with the bottom shelf in the unit, which means that I'll have to remove the false drawer front from the bottom of the base unit & fix it to the top part of the unit, will there be any issue from doing this?
UPDATE: I got a gas engineer to connect the gas hob. Only to find out the oven does not go in because of the wood at the back. My previous oven housing did not have this problem. The only way was to cut with jigsaw, but this is dangerous due to gas pipe. The manufacturer needs to redesign the back panel and slim front panel, so they can be removed easily and allow people to cut to size and then re-fit them. Perhaps fitted with L-shaped brackets, rather then dowels. I had to call a second gas engineer, so he could move the gas pipe further back and he removed the back panel altogether. Although the side panels where secured to the wall, so it still had integrity, but instructions could have given better guidance, to avoid these issues...

It took him 17 minutes to get it in place, I am on day three!
There is no airflow for the oven once the drawer is fitted. My fitter thinks this is necessary and is recommended by oven manufacturers!
Where do you get the drawer unit from?
