  • Hello and welcome to SOUTHEND AVIATION!
I included the full engine warm up in this video, for those that wish to skip the warm up firstly ask yourself are you sure? And secondly skip to 04:06 for the take off roll...
Aero Legends DC3 G-ANAF KP220 departing from London Southend Airport this morning outbound to Prague. A real treat to see such an icon in classic aviation on the ground at London Southend, we'll hopefully see these again soon...

I flew on a C-47 from London to Frankfurt in 1961 . Very uncomfortable ride.

My dad flew one of these over the Hump (Himalayas) during WWII. I was fortunate to fly as a pax in a C47 (CFA?) several years ago at Centennial Airport.

Great to see but I would rather see easyjet and other airlines taking off and landing, full of passengers going to and come back from their holidays
    Hopefully soon that will happen

Fair comment for the airport's success but I'd much rather see a DC3 than another A320

@@olesuhr727 Thanks, my dad flew the C47/DC3 for most of his career, from WW2 to retirement in 1980. Not this one though.
