I’m South Carolina lowcountry on my mom’s side, and I’ve tangled with those little bastards more than once on family vacations at the family farm and my uncle’s beach house! To make matters worse, they’ve worked their way across the state and invaded my paternal grandmother’s land up in the South Carolina mountains! Here’s hoping they don’t make it to western Maryland where I live now-that would be my worst nightmare, not being able to work in my vegetable garden, flower beds, or berry patches because of those damn fire ants!
now i know what happen to me when i was a kid i was on a beach and made like a sand pit to sit in next thing i know its covered in red ants and im freaking n later that night i was having shortness of breath and shaking n i was with my adult cousin n my folks were hours away so no one thought to take me to the hospital but they called idk posion someting n said just to keep my hydrate and level my head only cuz it was few ants and not a colony i got lucky.
All ants are evil even the little black ones that dont bite. Trust NONE. Ive stepped in plenty of ant piles and gained a huge phobia of them little shyts. Ugh! 😂
