I scored 67/75 on this first quiz of 2024. Glad you're back and making quizzes again! As for the difference between a sea lion and a seal... one has the letters "ion" at the end of its name, the other doesn't.
It's wonderful to have you back, Ben! Here's my attempt to answer your bonus question: sea lions are brown in colour, have visible ear flaps, bark very loudly, and move on land using their large flippers. Seals have small flippers, no visible ear flaps, and move on land by wriggling on their chubby bellies. My overall score on this very enjoyable quiz: 5 incorrect answers. Thank you so much, Ben!😊
Great to see you're back Ben - another great quiz! I scored 70/75, and a sea lion's flippers can support its weight. Love playing on the Quizamp page 🙂
70/75 today for Team Harlow. Really good quiz too. And by the way Welcome Back. As for bonus the only thing we can think of is whiskers. Maybe the Sea Lion has longer ones 😮
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. For the bonus, they also walk on their flippers and have different ears. Some of the other commentators have explained it better than me. 👍😁 Thanks for playing
68/75. I'm quite pleased with that score. 😊 Glad you are back, Ben! Love your quizzes. ♥ The bonus is: sea lions have ear flaps and can walk on their flippers. Seals' ears are flapless and they cannot walk on their flippers; they glide on their tummies. I hope I got that the right way round! LOL
It's great to have you back, Ben. 74/75 today Sea Lions have flippers that can support their weight and enable them to "walk". They also have visible pinna (outer part of an ear) I noticed that you had a question on The Sahara. I'd be very pleased if that was based on the info I gave you a while back. 😁
Thanks, it's great to be back. Great score and perfect answer on the bonus. Oh, and yes thank you for the Sahara question. I couldn't remember who told me that, but it must have been you, so thanks 👍
I got 62 out of the 75 My guess is that the whiskers are the difference between a sealion and a seal. I checked out your quiz website. It is very good.
I have played a lot of your quizzes on your website, which I really enjoyed. In fact I got so sucked in I was there for two hours straight instead of sleeping. I wish there was a way to keep track of which quizzes you have done so when you click next quiz you get a new one.
Thats great, thanks for the feedback. I don't know an easy way to keep track without people having to create an account, login etc, which I have been trying to avoid. I will see if there's some other way to do it. Thanks 😊
Nice quiz. I would suggest you find a different physiology question than the one about bile being produced in the liver. I've seen that one on three of your quizzes, and I've only done four! But, yes, good work, and interesting.
For the bonus... Sea lions has longer flippers, have visible ear flaps, and they are loudly... Seals have short flippers, not visible ear flaps, and they are more quiet... Got only 70/75...
62/75 A huge welcome back. I was having withdrawals from not playing your quizzes. I hope your holiday was all you desired. I'm not sure of the bonus, but I'll say the flippers?😅 H.A.N.D!
Great to be back. I had a wonderful holiday. You are very close on the bonus. Sea lions walk up on their flippers, whereas seal move on their belly. Plus there's a difference in their ears. 😀 Have a great weekend
🌹💖. Thank you very much my dear very best friend, Someone 💖, for my special lovely highlight, Very, very much appreciated. 🙏🧸🙏. Please always be extremely careful and stay safe and well always 💖🌹
My husband and I have been watching the Sherlock Holmes movies so any questions on Sherlock Holmes I usually know. Every movie tells the author of Sherlock Holmes in the credits.
A more perfect answer to the bonus question - ears. The family, pinnipedae is divided into three sub-families: Eared seals, (still 'seals') are the sea lions Non-eared seals are the 'seal' seals. That is the scientific difference between the two. Oh, and the walrus is the third
I couldn't actually tell you the exact difference between a sea lion and a seal without googling but I was raised with both of them in California so I know the difference 😅. Sea lions come up on the beach with their flippers and they waddle. Seals seem to spend more time in the water and not sunbathing. They're usually smaller and cuter too. ❤
70/75 Narcolepsy isn't so much the sleep/wake process but falling asleep without warning Obviously during the time one is awake as during the day. We have sea lions on an island just a few miles off the coast. They really have it worked out. They're all male. The females live on an island further up the coast. The boys go up during the mating season have their fun and then return back and just lie on the beach and go fishing for the rest of the year.

Absolutely great quiz indeed! Thanks from Canada! ♥

You are so welcome!
Lots of fun and educational! Love your quizzes! got 60/75 I think. Thanks!
Thank you 😊
Wasn’t Spike also created by Charles Schulz as Snoop’s younger brother who lived in the desert?
Spike was the dog in Tom and Jerry. At least that's the only famous dog called Spike that I know of.
Great questions
Great quiz! As usual, I start strong, then trip up near the end. It's still fun, though!
Glad you enjoyed it 😁
great work - you are really good at this. nice mix of questions. thank u!!
My pleasure! And thanks for the kind words 😁
68/75. I'm quite pleased with that score. 😊

I checked out your quiz website. It is very good.
Great quiz as always 😊
Hi Ben great to see you. I missed 6. I think it's the flippers & ear. Seen them so many times 😮. Happy New Year
Happy new year to you too. 😁

Welcome back! You've been missed.
Thank you 🙏
Happy new year Ben! Nice quiz. 70/75 here. Sea lions have larger flippers I think.
Happy new year too. Glad you lie the quiz. Yes and sea lion walk up on their flippers, seals move on their bellies. Thanks for playing.
61/75 , quiz Amp is great fun, I think a seal may be smaller than a sealion. Cheers
Sealions walk on their front flippers and have different ears to seals.
66 including two educated guesses!
Nice quiz. I would suggest you find a different physiology question than the one about bile being produced in the liver. I've seen that one on three of your quizzes, and I've only done four! But, yes, good work, and interesting.
Welcome back! Great quiz. Happy 2024. Guess: sea lions have visible ears.... seals don't... ;) Cheers!
Thanks. Good guess, plus they walk on their flippers. 👍😁
cool!!!!@@Quizzes4U
65/75. Sea lions have longer and more supportive limbs.
For the bonus... Sea lions has longer flippers, have visible ear flaps, and they are loudly... Seals have short flippers, not visible ear flaps, and they are more quiet... Got only 70/75...

Awesome🏆
64/75 great quiz
I got 65/75.
Thank you Quizzes4U. 👍👍
69/75
Bonus. Sea lions have larger flippers and use them to move around
Excellent and correct on the bonus. Thanks for commenting.
🌹💖. Thank you very much my dear very best friend, Someone 💖, for my special lovely highlight, Very, very much appreciated. 🙏🧸🙏. Please always be extremely careful and stay safe and well always 💖🌹
Bonus: seal lions have large front flippers and ear flaps, seals don’t have ear flaps and have small front flippers.
Sea lions have ears and seals don't. I enjoyed this quiz very much. I got 73/75 right. I'm from the USA.
😄👍
That's great!
Yey!!!😂🎉
My husband and I have been watching the Sherlock Holmes movies so any questions on Sherlock Holmes I usually know. Every movie tells the author of Sherlock Holmes in the credits.
69 from 75. Not too bad! Sea lions have external ears, like us, but those of seals are inside.
68/75 I missed 5 of last 9. Shucks. Sea lions can walk on front flippers. Seals cannot.
47/75! ❤❤
A more perfect answer to the bonus question - ears.
The family, pinnipedae is divided into three sub-families:
Eared seals, (still 'seals') are the sea lions
Non-eared seals are the 'seal' seals.
That is the scientific difference between the two.
Oh, and the walrus is the third
Yes, and sea lions walk on their flippers, seals move on their belly. Thanks for commenting 😄
73/75 with the options; 60/75 without.
I don't know/can't remember the bonus answer!
Great score. Thanks for playing 😁
@@Quizzes4U I've looked up the answer (won't give it away) and I wouldn't have guessed that!
73/75 scored and sealions have flippers for bonus q
Seals don’t have external ears, also sea lions can “walk” with their front flippers while seals only can push along the ground.
As an Aussie, I cracked up thinking of all the Brits and Americans freaking out that we call flipflops thongs 😅
Don't mix them up!
70/75 Narcolepsy isn't so much the sleep/wake process but falling asleep without warning Obviously during the time one is awake as during the day.

Lucky sea lions. 👍
Sea lions walk on all 4 limbs. Seals walk on the front 2 and waddle on the hind ones.
70/75
67 out of 76 (includes the bonus since that's my area anyway). Was going great up until the 20s with 100% but then I fell apart 🤣
Great job!
Q49 could be helicopter. Airwolf had afterburner! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Damn, I forgot about Airwolf 🤣👍
55/75 Sorry, don't know the difference between a sea lion and seal. Love them both, though!
53/75 1st attempt
68. Some of the things I get wrong in these sometimes, I just have to face palm.
Sea lions have visually notable ears
55/75
We in the U.S. use to call flip-flops “thongs” as well until maybe the 1980s. 😅
82, darnit. :(
🎉❤
The flippers
52/75
Sea lion has flippers and Seals don't leak 😂
🤣
Well that's b**ocks. The seals in my central heating system leak like bar stewards.
Colour
Sea lion has flappy ears
Missed 5
53 right 22 wrong (I feel dumb)
ears. ears are the difference.
Sealions have ear flaps and seals don't.
A seal has ear lobes and a sea lion doesn't
69/75
I did ok but I wouldn't call t "general" knowlege.
