I was watching this on wetv app but decided to continue here coz I want to read the comments and reactions of other people but almost everyone is just confused lol. Why are you guys confused? Are the timeline jumps that hard to follow? I thought it was an interesting way of doing it, not the usual "flashback to youth" style or the normal straightforward storytelling. I actually like how the drama doesn't feed you all the info and back stories right away.

Actually.. That aint her actual mum at all. Supposed to be her aunt. The father is actually her true uncle as he is her actual biological mums brother who took care of her since young because her mum got pregnant at during teenage and cud not afford to raise her....and her kind uncle decided to adopt her as his own child. However, his wife is abusive, hearless, useless gambler and cruel to Su Yan. (luckly, her cousin is like his dad, kind and generous) unlike his mother, no loving or humane feelings at all!!..to her niece/daughter.
