I am very shocked and disappointed by this news. Although I do not live in America, I believe that my country's security is very much affected by the American position, and I feel terrible, I feel fear, anxiety and mistrust. I cannot believe that this could have happened and that people deliberately voted for this man. Personally I discovered men around me who I know voted for him when more than one of his ideas would hurt THEM. It’s actually unbelievable and beyond ignorant. I hope that everyone will be okay, I know the fear and shock that came over me as he won last time and I’m sending a big hug to those struggling 🫂

as a young girl living in america the amount of disappointment I felt when I saw the election results was unreal. There is something deeply wrong with this country and my heart breaks for the future we could've had with Harris.
so heartbroken and disappointed by our country right now. i was raped when i was 16 years old in high school and i had to take an abortion pill. i did not want to even live myself at the time and had tried to commit suicide just the month before and then someone that i thought was my friend did that to me and i had the choice. so i did what was best for me. I lived in fear and shame for a long time having to had make that decision because i felt it was my fault for so long. so many women voted against rights for people like me that have had to deal with that terror. it’s incredibly sad. the racism is just terrible. i come from a family of hispanics and my family works hard, super super hard. i woke up that morning just sobbing by how cruel people are. how can a man that has hurt other women be our president and how could women have voted for him? it feels like betrayal 💔 thank you for whoever read this and thank you for providing me a safe space here.

Everyone is freaking me out telling me all of my rights are getting taken away. Someone also told me I am going to be an “invalid child” because I have two moms. Is this true? I also am wondering what makes trump being president more devastating this time around when he was already president once. (P.s. I am genuinely curious and do NOT support trump at ALL). Thank you!! Hi there, you ask really good questions and it's super important to continue to do that and also to get informed via reading as knowledge will always help you. The reason people are more concerned about trumps presidency this time around is two fold, the house and the senate both have a republican majority which will make it significantly easier for any bills or motion to pass into governance. If the senate and house were not majority (what happened last time) this process becomes much much more difficult. The second reason is that project 2025 a fundamentalist Christian political initiative has been created which outlines in detail many many plans that would drastically change the lives of women, members of the lgbtq+, immigrants and POC. Trump has denied ties to this project but the forward was written by his VP and so his denial is seen widely as bullshit, frankly. Under project 2025 I am unsure what the plan is for same sex families. Its definitely not positive as a main theme through out it is protecting "family values". I am not sure what an invalid child is but you are safe, your family loves you and will not allow you to come to harm. Many countries around the world see LGBT rights as protected and would give asylum to families for this reason. Either way, you are safe, your family didn't fight to have you just to let you come to harm.
