I doubt that IGS commissioned this version; the dates I've found attribute this to a late 1990 release in America, and even the European version seems to predate this one. This one's alright, but the timer is a problem on later levels I think. I remember the Playstation game removing it entirely.
I had to look it up because in the early 90's there were a few instances of licensing games from Japanese developers and giving them totally different names than what they're better known as. That DOS game is not one of them.

You could probably hex edit the timer fairly easily to be longer for an improvement hack

messed around with a ROM of this one! interesting tile-matching game. except for that timer-restart thing yeah. that's rough. :(
There's a DOS game called Brix that's exactly the same thing as this! Somebody ripped somebody off lol

Shareware and nobody developers in the 80s and 90s PC scene made a lot of ripoffs like that. I remember playing Brix from a Shareware CD.
