I can’t wait to get this book, knitwear design is so mysterious and beautiful. I have a silver reed and a ribber even though I am a complete beginner the most I have knit on my machine are hand manipulation swatches, I am always looking for resources to learn how to master machine knitting and make my own designs.

Hi, this book sounds amazing! I was wondering if there's any information on how to knit and design set-in sleeves and raglans? Thanks, Freya :)

      Hello Freya,
Thank you for your comment. The is information about different sleeve shapes and designs including set in and raglan, tips to fit set in sleeves into armholes and how to shape the edges of your knitting. Plus calculating the shaping of your own garment patterns and subsituting yarn in a garment pattern. I hope this is helpful in making your decision.

Hi Vikki, I’m hoping to buy this book, is there anything about electronic machines as I have the brother KH 965, thank you Christine

Hi Christine, the electronics are mentioned, but the book focuses mostly on the structures of single and double bed knitting which apply to mechanical and electronics. 24 st punchcards are featured as these are the most common, but of course with an electronic you can use these patterns, but also have the option of developing the pattern over more needles. Both Brother and Knitmaster/Silver Reed are covered in the book, with a smattering of hints and tips for Passap owners as well. Best wishes Vikki
