My largest speck caught in the surf was below the Kitty Hawk Pier on 10/16/1988 6.5 lbs along with a 4 lb Gray Trout great day of fishing.

Matthew White nah my brother caught a 24” trout a week before this but it wasn’t as fat as mine, his weighed 4.5lbs so mine was around there maybe even 5lbs
