From a replay of the old Car&Track on SpeedVision, Bud Lindemann and the crew go to Winchester Speedway for the Cardinal 50 ASA sprint car event on April 6th 1975.
Absolutely, the rear-engine sprint cars were a short-lived phenomenon. I believe USAC only ran them in 1973. They survived in other series like ASA for a short period afterward.
Gotta love the different variations of the cars, some rear engine, some offset etc. Spent a lot of time watching them run Oswego as a kid, good times.

I miss when Speed used to play all those old Car & Track shows. I had recorded a ton of them on VHS back then...
Ive only ever hears Bud’s voice, never seen him. Quite a cool clip.
Awesome! Keep up with uploading more old races!
Great Video!Thanks!
Even back then this place was terrifyingly fast, and it only got more so as the speeds went up in general.
Any old videos from Salem?
