The wait is the worst part, but I think it’ll be worth it!
I got mine and he's Gorgeous!!! Its a good idea to keep his mouth slightly.open to avoid that chin tear issue. I think its too tight in his neck area. If there was a way to loosen that it would probably avoid the tearing.

Yea they say when displaying to keep the mouth neutral as in not all the way open not all the way closed.

Im trying to make a decision now between them both and its hard i just think the hottoys one looks more like a toy and the sideshow looks more realistic and more like the in the mandalorion. Also on the hottoys one i think the hands and feet are to big and look cheap except for that it looks awsome.
I think Sideshow’s looks more accurate, but Hot Toys has a lot more functionality. And the HT is still pretty close appearance-wise.
If you’re going for a display piece, I would say Sideshow. If you want some movement and poseability, I would say HT.
Hot Toys better figure and accessories, Sideshow better robe.

I really like this piece but the mouth ripping is a huge issue. I wish they'd stuck with a resin sculpt.

@@SPProps Based on other youtube videos, if the mouth is left in a certain position (open or closed, can't remember) for a long time, the underside of the chin is subject to tearing. There is supposed to be a warning about it in the instructions (which, of course, no one bothers to read).
Also, keep him away from your eggs.
Thanks! Yeah, the instructions say to leave the mouth slightly open. I checked mine, and the jaw seems fine. I will keep an eye on it.
@@daniel_sc1024 these claims all seem to be fairly recent so I can’t help but wonder if it was either a bad batch, or a case of these being stored in a hot shipping container that compromised the materials. These buggers are taking forever to ship and everyone keeps blaming Covid for it.
@@Sarge51BG I have had my figure for over 2 months now, bought direct from Hong Kong on first day of release. Since then i have had no problems with the mouth tearing. I took the figure out of the box which was already set with the mouth slightly open. Not messing with the figure too much i tried the opening mouth feature but then set it in the position that it came with and it has been in that position ever since with no issues. I hope you get your figure soon, just remember not to mess with the mouth too much👍🏻

Yes, I ordered directly from Sideshow. Preorder was placed in March of last year.
I ordered mine directly from Sideshow in February this year and am still waiting on a shipping notification too. Hopefully not too long to wait now.
@@PumpkinLady11 I ordered mine in February too, February 17. I ordered after I saw the face resculpt as I didn't like the original version. I haven't gotten a shipping notification yet either. They may be sending them out first order first served, as I noticed the people that ordered them earlier have already gotten theirs. I'll come back and let you know if I get a shipping notification. I'm patiently but anxiously waiting on mine.
@@melissapadmerose I ordered mine on February 20th. Sideshow said they’re getting them in in batches, so I believe you’re right on that. We should get our shipment notifications around the same time, hopefully. I also ordered one of these because I didn’t like the the Sideshow version. And same here, it feels like it’s been forever haha

Really excited to get mine. One thing that I'm noticing in all these reviews that bothers me a bit, is I see that the feet don't sit flat when he stands and kind of on an angle. Can they be posed flat and reviewers just aren't fixing them to be that way?

Honestly, I just quickly set him up for the video, but yeah, his feet were uneven. Will look into whether he can stand on his own with flat feet…
