Thanks guys. Part of the Mt. Anne massif that I never got to visit. Nor will I ever. In my seventy fifth year I'm resigned to the flatter multi day walks. Fantastic footage.
Hi. I hope this video will give you some insight. The highland King Billie's with bigger pandanis etc you would have seen in the shoulder of Lots Wife. I hope you enjoyed the video.
Wow, just brilliant, Thank you for posting. I'd like to see it for myself one day, but as a solo bushwalker in my 60's I probably never will. Out of interest.. would it be a couple of extra hours to the base of Mt Anne, or much longer than that? Cheers,
Great, exactly what this area needed.....a TH-cam video! We can now expect to see the start of the insta hordes. I look forward to seeing it trampled and littered with rubbish and poo....All for the short lived dopamine hit of some social media kudos. Seriously though - have a think about the area you have publicised, it's not an official track, and the shelf won't cope with hundreds of walkers each summer. Theres a reason the start of the route looks like that...
I couldn't agree more. This is one of the most delicate and sensitive areas in South West Tasmania and to publish this video is about as irresponsible as you can get, just to get a few more Likes!!!! Bloody hell, the way our wilderness is being treated defies belief. Far too many people that don't give a shit about where they are travelling and hell bent on producing "another video about me and my travels" . I expect the response will be " we walked carefully and left no trace" ......but what about the people that you have just encouraged to race up there and trample that incredibly sensitive area!!!! Some of them will almost certainly not "leave no trace". Unbelievable.
You guy's are talking rubbish . It's only a select few people that will go on this walk . Stop with your greed we all pay tax . To attempt to claim it should be kept a secret is greed . Our state need's tourism to survive . Many will never get to see this . If this encourages more people local or abroard to go and explore thats great..
It used to be that only a select few visited the Western Arthurs. Now, thanks to Social Media, including TH-cam, the place is overrun and is suffering as a result. Some areas are much more delicate than others and the one in this video is one of the most easily damaged. Spouting the usual crap about greed and secrecy and "we all pay tax" doesn't cut it, visiting Wilderness is not a right, it's a privilege. Spoken like someone that hasn’t got a clue….
Fabulous Bernd! Thanks for sharing.
