OMG! I am so glad you feel the same way about Things We Never Got Over. I thought I was crazy because everyone else loves it lol I had to DNF it like 30 pages in.
I find it so interesting to see how different our ratings for books can be depending on our personalities and or circumstances, be they real life experience or what we’ve read in the past. I was so looking forward to reading Finley, but whilst I did enjoy it, I understood the humour and couldn’t fully suspend my disbelief completely like I can with other novels. It was pretty much mid, but I will continue the series. The Seven Year Slip slipped down a place for me because of a book I read that had a similar plot that did have romance but was more of a mystery/thriller interested me more. Obviously hose examples were in the negative but I personally would say that Legend & Lattes for me would have been in the ‘You were great….’ section instead of ‘mid’. Keeps up the great work, Ashlynn. Love to you and Ian and here’s to 100,000 subs in 2024

Awesome video ‼️🧡 watching your ranking of the fiction books you read in 2023 I realised that I read about 25% to 50% of these books and I definitely agree with your ranking 😅 as for the new year I have started reading the Assassin’s Blade in the throne of glass series and I am 💛🩶 it so far and since I got throne of glass as a gift I can’t wait to get to that one. I highly recommend the throne of glass series and start it with Assassin’s Blade as you get to understand the main character so much. So far it is not as spicy 🌶️ as the ACOTAR series and so I am loving this series so much. 😅

Read the series of A song of ice and fire by George RR Martin , you will really enjoy it 🔥❤

I’m so glad you read Dune, it’s a triumph reading that book. I loved it but it also took me way too long to finish haha
I’m not sure if you’ve read these yet but if you want some more Sci-Fi recommendations that are (in my opinion, easier reads than Dune) I think you might enjoy the author Andy Weir!
He has three books: The Martian, Project Hail Mary, and Artemis. They are all stand-alone reads. I personally loved all three but if I had to recommend one I’d say go with Project Hail Mary! It’s also being made into a film.

Also, I LOVED none of this is true 😢 it’s a very dark book though it’s a thriller, it’s definitely gonna have you on your seat and everything I get it’s not for everyone but the writing and how the story grips you into their lives and freaks you out I think I will never not think about that book, I read it in like 4 hours!!!
I read a different book by Ali Hazelwood a couple of weeks ago (Check & Mate) and I agree... life changing... 😭

I loved Fourth Wing but I didn't listen to the audio book. I think I wouldn't have liked it as much either though if Violet sounds whiney. I can't stand that. Maybe you should try Iron Flame without the audiobook.

From my understanding I think it’s a book she really likes but something made it not so great which she usually explained the but why after. Hope this helps!

I think Lisa Jewel is an amazing writer. She wrote one of my favorite thrillers, Watching You. But you said none of this is true wasn't for you so I'm curious to see what made you dislike it.

Girl. I feel you I did NOT like chestnut springs series, I feel like everyone literally raves about that series and I went out and bought it and…. DNF.. not for me, what’s with the mean ass dudes?!? Like if the main love interest in these books is gonna be so horrible to the woman I’m absolutely NOT going to continue it. We’re about respecting women over here girl ❤❤
