When I first saw the trailers of this dress I did IMMEDIATE research and went all over the internet to find out if I can make this dress. I definitely had a hard time figuring out the bodice so it took me a while. The longest part was the ruffles on the skirt and doing it twice. I used 200 meters of tulle in this costume.

-200 meters of tulle
-long red zipper
-6 medium black snaps
-long christmas ribbon
-contact glue
-red sequins
-red thread

@@nataliehill4216 thank you so much!! You won’t believe this.. but it’s a curtain rod from IKEA. lololol!!! You might be able to get something like that at Walmart or use a mop stick. 🥳

How much tule did it take just for the 'battle'/torn up dress as I want to try make it but I'm worried what I'm getting won't be enough though my fabric/tule is alot longer than the one you used so it isn't pre cut
I definitely had used a minimum of like 5 yards for the battle dress: this includes the bodice, the ties for the arms and the ruffles on the skirt. I had used that precut tulle but I definitely spent more more on them than just getting it cut by the yard/meter. I would dare say its better to underestimate if your local fabric store carries a lot of red tulle, than to buy too much. If they don't carry a big stock then try to get 2yards/meters more than anticipated.
Can you make one for kids? That's is a seventh eighth please because I really want it?
I regret to inform you that I do not make costumes for others. I barely have time to make costumes for myself as a mother now.
The hair color that I use on my hair is Clairol and it's only $2.99 I always buy the cheap stuff. At first your hair will be a little bit Orange but if you wait a week or so the orange will fade away and it will turn blonde ..
I don't know if I can get that in Denmark but I definitely had a hard time doing my own hair job. Next time I'll try to do as much as I can at the top and have someone else follow what I do so I dont need to go to a salon. Wig might have been the easier choice

How did you sew the tulle to be all ruffled like that on the bodice? 🥺
Great question! What I did was make the bodice first without the lining, and then I laid the tulle on top. I made sure to scrunch the tulle and then pin it in place to make sure that it was the desired look. When I was happy (and the bodice was full of pins later) I stay-stitched the tulle in place, and then added the lining.

Hi! Would you just got into how you sewed the tulle on the bottom a little bit more please? Did you just sew it regularly and the fabric naturally gathered or did you do something specific?
Ah, I can see you've gathered it and folded it over a little bit to make the ruffles, is that all you did?
Hi Hi~! So what I did was I sewed a bit of the tulle down first and then I gathered it as I continuously sewed. So I did not pre-gather my tulle until it was close to the needle.
So it just lays down on the skirt and puffs outward. I hope this explains it, but if you want to contact me on another platform I can do a close up and explain it further there.
