Only just found this video. Storm seemed powerful. 95% of those strikes were positive CGs, thunder sounded awesome with headphones on and bass turned up :)
We had a thunderstorm like this but even louder and more intense in that it was directly overhead for at least twenty minutes or more. I was living in Westminster, London at the time and it was 1985 or possibly 1986 and it was as if Armageddon had arrived. I love thunderstorms but this was was actually quite scary. I’ll never forget that storm. I’ve never witnessed anything like it in the U.K. since. Anyway thank you for sharing. It was an exciting night in Edmonton that night!
Man, the thunder around the 7:20 mark sounded like it had just broken the sound barrier well and truely. Would have loved to experience it for real. Well done capturing it.
Awesome! We had a thunderstorm like this here in Northampton County in eastern Pennsylvania a few days ago. It was INTENSE!! The storm system did actually spawn a small tornado about an hour south of us in Montgomery County, PA just north of Philadelphia.
Commenting on 10/26/18 at 7am EDT...simply incredible..and I am the 210th to have marked ''liked videos'' and love all all of the specified bright flashers((with many CGs)) and spine-chilling thunderclaps..this is my very kind of video I'd love to see everywhere...If you can catch my comment here..I too have had big Tstorms...my 7/13/17-Tstorm video..the 12-minute-video...at 11:28 into it..I had an extremely closeby lightning strike and sudden loud thundercrash...well worth viewing....
We had a thunderstorm just like this one here in the San Fernando Valley in September of 1976. Extremely loud thunder, lots of CGs and lots of close strikes. It was an electrical storm. These kind of storms here in Southern California are very rare. They happen usually during El Nino, mainly during the winter, usually in January, February and March. We get summer thunderstorms once every 5-7 years.
Very intense electrical storm. Lots and lots of CGs! This is an extremely dangerous thunderstorm. Lots of positive lightning flashes. I love the popping sound in some of the loudest thunder.
I just got new headphones with bass enhancement and this video sounded amazing! I love the videos like these with no commentation just let nature do her own talking
I live on the same latitude as Edmonton, but in northwest Germany and we unfortunately have quite seldom heavy thunderstorms. In May 2018 we had a heavy thunderstorm early in the morning and I had to go to work by car and there were at least four close hits per 3 km (2 mi) drive, that was breathtaking.
Man that’s scary we don’t get heavy storms like that in south jersey but we had one a month ago scared me shitless all the lightning bolts and it was so loud
Commenting 12/30/19 at 630am EST....This amazing amazing STATE-OF-THE-ART Tstorm video right very here..a real EMMY-nominee too.....I just had to put this directly onto audiotape so I can play this thru my huge stereo system......and also listen to the awesomed thunder((huge thunderclaps located for so far N too)).. while my own working on my latest R-rated comics...heeeheeee
Yeah. My “Favorite Now” is the slow Crackling then Crashing Boom thunder which was Fucking scary when I was a kid Especially in the middle of the night :D
Nice! What kind of camera do you use? Sound quality is phenomenal. Is the sound from the internal mic, or do you attach an external one? I'm currently looking to invest in a new camera, but I need to make sure it has a good microphone for thunder.
Thanks for the comment. I use an external recording device for my audio. The device I use is the zoom H4N. When I get it on the computer I adjust the EQ to get as close of a sound to real life as I can.
@@mezpezlez Okay. Thanks. I want to get a DSLR because I'm also interested in taking star photos. A DSLR with video capability would be best, but I like to get that low-pitched quality thunder without having to adjust the EQ afterwards. I only adjust EQ when I don't have my camera on hand and have to use my phone which has pretty terrible audio with no adjustment. Really really loud thunder often clips on the phone, causing an ugly recording regardless of EQ adjustment, but my camera seems to automatically adjust the input level based on overall volume. You can hear quiet sounds like crickets and stuff but when the thunder comes it's not deafeningly loud, then after the thunder ends you can hear the volume adjusting back to normal such that the cricket sounds grow. With phone footage there is no balance between quiet and loud sounds. Quiet is too quiet and loud is too loud. Problem is my camera is really old and not particularly high quality visually.
@@marshallsweatherhiking1820 Yes its true that if your recording quiet sound then thunder will clip the audio. The good thing about using an external mic is that you can record at a much higher bit rate which can reduce the amount of clipping. I also set the mic level manually to what I want.
Wow..I just loved it.... Inzane 8 minutes and 40 seconds.. Wish I was there
Greetings from Oslo,Norway
gibbs1966 oh no you don’t it is way more intense then the video
Sound quality is absolutely brilliant. Nice video.

Yes, the sound is my favorite part of thunderstorms...When I capture storms I focus more on the sound than I do the video.
Closest/loudest of the strikes are 01:45 02:04 03:07 03:26 03:59 04:18 06:27 06:48 07:10 07:32 08:14
mezpezlez I

Nice. I love when people put there mic outside to catch the audio to make it sound spectacular. This video is great. Greetings From Australia Sydney!
7:18 those thunder claps are best sound ever i heard
Like the shuttle launching
Wow, that’s an unusually long stretch of positive lightning. Magnificent thunder, especially at 7:12. Fantastic catch.
4 gold stars. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Nice positive lighting strikes, they are the loudest and longest forms of thunder there is, and I love them.
Wow... some of the best audio quality I've ever heard on TH-cam.
Wow. A lot of them were certainly high-amp CG+ strikes, the boom thunder is obvious.
a few of them were Positive Strikes
we don't have these heavy thunderstorms in The Netherlands, video is great and i am enjoying it ! Greets from Breda!
@@liambgames8338 Lang geleden in de Ardennen, ook zulk heftige shit, inderdaad tussen heuvels!
Man, the thunder around the 7:20 mark sounded like it had just broken the sound barrier well and truely. Would have loved to experience it for real. Well done capturing it.

Absolutely amazing positive thunderstorm... I loved every second of it....
From all lightning videos in TH-cam, i choose this.
Bwoah...
I didn't get bored to hear this deep lightning even repeating 5 times.
Good thing the videographer is filming this storm under shelter because this is an extremely dangerous thunderstorm.
Very intense electrical storm. Lots and lots of CGs! This is an extremely dangerous thunderstorm. Lots of positive lightning flashes. I love the popping sound in some of the loudest thunder.
WOW!! Listen to those pops with the thunder.
Excellent positive lightning storm ! Brilliant thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Sounds like some of that lightning is positively charged. :)
That was a beautiful long duration strike that you caught there! That had to be a positive CG.
You should be viral better then US storm chasers any day.
I love when thunder shakes the surrounding area
3:30 sounds like a tiger growling
I just got new headphones with bass enhancement and this video sounded amazing! I love the videos like these with no commentation just let nature do her own talking
That one at 7:10 was the loudest I think

This was one of the loudest we had last year
Nice profile pic
Oh my god.Very loud thunder. In Belgium we don't see something likes this.Amazing!!!
Nice bass-ee capture!
Canada is not immune to the severe weather the US gets. I remember there was a bad tornado outbreak in Edmonton one summer,
Awesome sound quality ( especially with headphones ) ;-)

"An intense lightning storm is rocking Edmonton with loud thunder-what hidden power lies in the chaos, and what tales will the skies reveal tonight?"
Here in Southern California, a storm like this usually occurs during the winter, especially during El Nino. Summer storms are rare.
Does anyone else think that the sound of thunder and the lighting is a kinda relaxing? Or is it only me? Lol
Great video , most of the lightning is positive
From Dubai
Incredible Storm!!! Very loudest!! I like it!!
Audio quality is amazing
And sometimes gets too close for confert.
6:27
How loud my mum is when she shouts up the stares
This is an electrical storm
Some microbursts can have winds as high as 165 mph. That's category 5 on the Saffer Simpson Scale!
Wow you got some nice strikes
Sound quality is brilliant
damn this storm is deep!
Sudden loud thunder always makes me scream uncontrolled 😣
The one at 7:10 sounds so deadly wow i would shit my pants oo btw nice chevy

Man that’s scary we don’t get heavy storms like that in south jersey but we had one a month ago scared me shitless all the lightning bolts and it was so loud
I believe that during this i was on a streetcar. Stuck at a bridge, needing to pee.
Классные раскаты грома а звуки как с пушки! Я вообще любитель грозы и молний!
2:04 positive CG with a sudden cracking thunderclap. This was the sacriest one.
You know when it’s very close apart from instant thunder is the popping sounds mixed in that’s the signal 👍😊
Did anyone else play this through their surround sound!? That was proper loud!!! Don't get too many storms like that here in the u.k

6.32 is awsome 7.10 is amazing
the detonations of the lightning in this video are so sick ! They look like to explosions of nuclear rockets (4:06 is perfect)
Very very good loud lightning. It's Doesn't Thunder like that here in Philadelphia.
I think the thunder is much louder than 120 decibels. It seems louder than fireworks and gunshots.
AND THE THUNDER ROLLS LOVE IT
Ohh the reverbatations too good never get that with the storm chasers.
Very powerful electrical storm
Heavy Thunderstorm In Jamaica.
Some positive strikes too (like 7:12)
This stuff is good for my sub woofer, i wish we could get storms like that here.
Absolutely perfect!!!
This is the most powerful thunder I have ever heard. Does it have to do with the mountains?
Thats simply wonderful! My neighbors are very happy with me!! lols
The only annoying thing about this video is whoever is filming can’t keep the camera still. Other than that,it’s a good video.
Yeah. My “Favorite Now” is the slow Crackling then Crashing Boom thunder which was Fucking scary when I was a kid Especially in the middle of the night :D
i would be sooo scared
Why "sooo scared" ?
Just the atmosphere blowing off steam nothing else
@ 6:32, that’s about the time when GOD asked, “Can U HEAR ME NOW & R U AWAKE??!!” LOL 😂!!!!
This storm is intense love it!
Nice Video
It sounded like there were some positive flashes.
I love it loud, like the song by Kiss. (1980)
7:13 sounds like a rocket taking off
Angry Thunderstorms
