My Papaw carried a Schrade. My Dad carried a Schrade. I carry a Schrade. Now, I want to show my sons the new quality knives by Schrade, so they'll be encouraged to carry on the family tradition. Great job Schrade Knives!
wow. the schf42 and 51 look amazing. but even better are the small fixed bladed schf14 and 32. if only i could win one of these, I would make all the spears I could. this video definitely deserves a like and some sharing from me.
I like the looks of the SCHF51, thanks there's lots of useful info here, been making spears since I was little, always kind of makeshift until now, thanks!
me and brother r going camping 2 or 3 nights in the woods and we don't have a spear. but now we do bc of this video 😊 every one give this video a 👍 it deserves it
Thanks for the great video. I added it to my DIY playlist. Although I am partial to the SCH42, I would love to have either the SCH51 or the SCH42. I am on a limited income so it will be a while before I can save up to buy one. They are both on my future purchases list. Either one is better than the cheap Old Forge that I currently have (it was a gift).
Wow great tips ! A Spear like that really could come in 'Handy! And with the Schrade blades you really don't have to worry about breakage! Love the SCHF42! It's a design I really love , the blade and the handle! Perfect size too, to handle anything you want to throw at it- or throw it at!
SCHF14 would be the one my hubby would love for me to surprise him with. I like the shape, the shape of the fixed blade, and the strength so it can be utilized as shown in video. Love to win one
I like the SCHF42, love the shape of the blade and ease of disassembling for maintenance and for just like the video suggests....making another tool out of the tang.
Cool video. I like the way you can take the handle off to use it in this way. I prefer to split the pole, place the blade in the in the middle and tighten the pole around the blade like a vice.
+Regina Morris SOUNDS GOOD TO US REGINA! You WON! Also remember to include your TH-cam name if it is different from your real name. Responding indicates that your prize is not prohibited in your area and that you're over the age of 18. Cheers!
I'm kind of a fan of spears. The SCHF51 looks like the best knife for me, especially because of the choil... It really helps me a lot with finer cutting.
Nice video. Any of the blades would be great but, if I had to pick I'd go with the SCHF42 . Looks like a nice size and seems to be easy to remove the handle grips.
Excelent videa...I have Shasta Mc Nasty carambit...perfect...even for throwing..it hits hard because of the bent center of gravity..the only carambit which you can cut or slice everything about food because of the edge on the out side👍💪💪
If you don't want to sacrifice your knife for a spear then batoning tip is really good. Just carve the side that's left after you remove material into your spear point and bevel down the Shelf you were going to use to attach your blade. If you choose to attach your blade to the shelf on the longer side make sure you bubble that flush with the blades so that it can travel through any animalw/o resistance.
Darn, another giveaway proving me as a loser. But a new one starts :-) I like the SCHF14 the best out of the ones in the video! The stone wash finish, I like! The point and handle I really like as well! Thank you Schrade for another chance at another wonderful giveaway!
I'd pick the Schrade SCHF51....as I suck at sharpening a recurve...and it's just a good all around knife....and made of 1095 high carbon...which is my go to steel...and perfect size for the choil....best knife of it's size and type for the money...
I have been wanting to get my hands on the SCHF14. I've been looking for a companion knife to the beast of a survival blade I carry when we camp in the back country. I like the look of the SCHF14, the blade profile is such a cool design, and I have heard nothing but good things in the reviews.
