Wow, this list was really interesting. I wouldn't have ever considered a city in Pennsylvania, but I guess each state likely has some poverty stricken areas. thanks for sharing!

Greenville has a pretty cool downtown area, surprising it's on this poorest cities list, but the numbers don't lie
Some heartbreaking areas that just can't get a break. They're in poor areas, but still surviving
These are some interesting and surprising poor cities. I would have thought Syracuse NY would be a poorest city, but i've been wrong before
Everyone is responding to the condition of the people who owned the land ,and not to the mentality of the people who destroyed it, stole it,created racism, and put those people at the bottom. Maybe because most of the people who are commenting are the descendants of the ones who conquered and created the divisions, the hate, the racism. The ones who used disease to annialate the populations, and then turn around and create a system where the natives of the lands are looked at as less than human. If my people did that, i would be ashamed. I would stand against it. If you find yourself proud, just understand why you're judged to be who you are by the majority of civilized people. ⁰
Greenville South Carolina get on the list it's not worth it in St Louis Missouri. I don't believe you
Sad for some of these cities and the poor lifestyle. Wish we had more programs to better help support
It's unfortunate that a lot of these people just can't get out
How in earth is the word "Squaw" offensive to Native Americans? It's a NATIVE AMERICAN WORD! It is FROM THEIR OWN LANGUAGE!!!!
